Can anyone recommend a good glue or cement to repair cold cast statues? I accidentally broke one of the straps from my Vincent Valentine cold cast some years ago while packing him away for moving, and haven't fixed him (nor taken him back out of the box since). It's a clean break, so I don't have to worry about putting little chips back in place, thankfully. Tips for the actual gluing would also be welcome!

Vincent's also had problems with some of the paint having rubbed off of his cloak. I have no idea how it happened, and that mark's been there longer than the break has. I would be fine with leaving it alone (it's on the back part of the cloak), but if anyone has any repainting tips as well, they would be helpful for the future. I'll try and post a pic (or pics) if that would help.

I used the stronger instant/craft glue when my CCS coldcast broke via transit.

I'd suggest just getting fast drying (strong) glue, wait for it to set, and then leave it to dry for about 24hrs before touching it again. Obviously, if you can find something to hold up the piece while it's drying, it'll probably dry a lot cleaner and more stable.

I accidental bumped into a shelf and my Hakufu Sonsaku figure ((mfc link)) fell from something like a meter high ... her chair is not really what you can call a "steady base"...

Damn it i got it yesterday and it's already broken >_< I HATE ME !!!

I consider myself lucky she only broke her left little finger but the break isn't really clean ...

I have some cement for model kit but i don't believe this will work very well 'till it's made for plastic model ... :/

So just to be sure... you said any instant glue will do ? Or is there glue that could damage the figure material ?

Not ANY instant as some don't really hold up but try to get the more heavy duty-esque quick setting glue. You can usually get a good selection at Michaels (or craft stores in general).

If all else fails, you can try epoxy - it's just slightly harder to work with and more toxic, lol.

Okay i'll try the "more heavy duty-esque quick setting glue" i can find :D
We don't have "Michaels" in France but i'll try to find something in any craft store arround.

Epoxy ... hmm ... maybe not i might be able to completely destroy the figure with that kind of stuff ...

Anyway, Thank you for this quick answer !

Edit : I can't stick the broken piece perfectly with the figure because of the crappy break ... still it's not so bad ...
