Don't know what visual novel is?
A visual novel (ビジュアルノベル), also known as sound novel, is an interactive fiction game featuring mostly static graphics, usually with anime-style art. As the name might suggest, they resemble mixed-media novels or tableau vivant stage plays.
Many visual novels are centered around drama, particularly themes involving romance or family, but visual novels centered around science fiction, fantasy fiction, and horror fiction are not uncommon.

Is anyone interested in getting the Ken ga Kimi and Momoyotsuyuri Regular release versions from me? I'm thinking of getting the twin pack from Amiami, but I don't need either of the games since I have the limited editions ordered. I just want the box cover ^^; Each game would be about 4k++

Please PM if interested! Thanks!

Any latest English/Japanese Visual Novel recommendations? I just recently cleared KARAKARA, ChibiPire and Flowers(Spring). I need some ... comedy genre VNs.

Demitria (Il y a 1 an) #12330785Is someone else reading Kara no Shoujo 2?

I've read it before, and it was excellent.

I really love the Cartagra/Kara no Shoujo series. And of course I'm really looking forward to KnS 3, whenever it may come out.

FoolishConnor (Il y a 1 an) #8875174Another question. Is it even possible to play Japanese VNs (assuming they're region 2) on an American computer? (Obviously I've never played one) so I was wondering how it works. Can you just pop it in the disc drive, or do you have to change some region setting on your computer, or download some program that you can run it through?

Some VNs require a Japanese Windows, but not a lot of them. Those mostly have cracks to get around that anyways.
Otherwise you at least need your locale set to Japanese or use applocale to launch them.

FoolishConnor (Il y a 1 an) #8847081Are there any good websites for buying VNs that were never localized (Japanese only), or is my best bet possibly stumbling upon an ebay auction of the game I want or using a proxy?

If you're buying them second hand I recommend using sofmap through a proxy. That's what I mostly do for my stuff and you'll get the cheapest prices.

yeah i would say proxy is probably easiest for getting them at decent price; surugaya is always good for these things. & funnily enough mandarake has some vn's too, i bought my copy of euphoria and katahane from there :)
