kyoshinhei (Il y a 7 mois) #19108211Neat, especially those wires!
On my end, following the inspiration I got from you I went for a very simple solution for the time being.
PICTURE #1727649
PICTURE #1727650
I simply used double sided tape which I'll be able to take off without damage in the future when I find the time to work on something more elaborate.

That's pretty nifty! Definitely a nice temporary solution.

I just used some clear string to suspend it and glued the lights to the back and bottom of the box. The poster can be taken out too so nothing is permanently attached.

Very nice result, even as a WIP!
I'm still scratching my head looking for a way to do the "half-tube" like in the promo pictures but I suppose I could probably just ply it on a corner like you did...

kyoshinhei (Il y a 8 mois) #18250506Yeah it looks noticeably shorter in PICTURE #1225935 so it seems that GSC themselves had to cut it for their blog pictures ó_Ò
And of course PICTURE #1267642 from marketing is a photoshop and totally off scale...
Anyway I'm gonna try and find a solution that doesn't involve cutting or piercing the sheet.

Welp, I found a football helmet display case on sale for $35, and this is the basic idea I ended up with.

It's nowhere near done. I need some black foam board and 2 sets of battery operated wire LEDs to place underneath the poster to accentuate the firing effect. I'm still not sure if I want to cut small slits and display it with the stand underneath the poster, or try to rig some type of wire for it to hang on like it's floating, but at least I have something to work off of now. I did have to cut the poster, but only about an inch and a quarter off the back side. Sacrifices.

Shimakaze69 (Il y a 8 mois) #18241971I've had an idea, but it would require me to cut the sheet up which I'm hesitant to do. It involves finding an enclosed display case big enough to put a decent amount of the poster inside at a slight curved angle, then hang the 401 inside using fishing line or some clear wire so it's "floating" (or cut 2 slits in the poster and slide the stand through from the bottom). I just haven't found a display case big enough at any local stores, and I'm hesitant to get one online if it won't be the right size. Maybe I'll go hunting again for a case this weekend and see if I can make that idea into a reality.

kyoshinhei (Il y a 8 mois) #18241727I just got mine today and you're damn right, that bonus is perfectly useless as it is.
I'll try to think of a solution though and maybe make a blog post about it.
