collection stash maybe. it is lacking a lot, but the breadth of items is so vast, i am not sure how it will turn out. i would guess it will be difficult to develop a community atmosphere like here at MFC, we'll see.

i am like you, i don't watch anime much anymore, but i appreciate the art. i have a stronger affinity towards the western culture, but a lot of video games (at least the older ones that hold nostalgic value to me) are of japanese origin so you can find quite a lot on here. i believe some clubs exist here at MFC that facilitate/promote more non-anime figures, you might consider joining if you haven't already.

I am a huge fan of comics- both European and Western. I own a big collection of them. I'd love to be able to afford those really nice Sideshow Collectibles statues (particularly the recent Harley Quinn and Vampirella ones) . I also would love to collect more The Last of Us merchandise, which is one of the best video games I have completed.

Besides that, most of what I have is anime merch (and I don't even really have much of a variety of that besides figures, manga, DVDs, plushies and a few posters). One day, both of these collections will growwww and formmmm and become apart of me! Yess yess!!

I agree! A western cultured merchandise database would be excellent and useful!

Collection Stash www.collections... is slowly building up it's database for western figures. It's not as communal yet as MFC but it's a good resource for keeping track of collectibles (owned/wanted/etc).

Thanks for the recommendation! I will look into it and some of the others mentioned here. :)

I collect larger scale Sideshow figures (comms & premium) - mostly from Marvel/DC but I have a few horror related ones. I have a couple smaller, video game figures but nothing that's incredibly rare or interesting.

Statueforum www.statueforum... deals with a lot of western statues in a board type forum like this one. I'm not a member there but it has a lot of useful resources and information. I'm a member of the Sideshow forums www.sideshowcol...; they discuss mostly Sideshow related goods but do venture into other things like Gentle Giant, Hot Toys, Gaming Heads, and some other companies. There is also a video game section to discuss video game related figures/games.

Valkyria (Il y a 4 ans) #2192778Good topic. I have a fair amount of Star Wars, Superhero, and video game figures not featured on MFC. If there were a site dedicated to "western" pop culture collections, that would be outstanding. I really like what MFC has done here providing a resource for anime merchandise collections. I wonder if the good folks behind this site have considered expanding it or launching a sister site to include "western" pop culture figures/merchandise.

I'm a huge comic book fan so I've got quite a few figures from American companies. Also, there are plenty of American companies that make figures from various Japanese IP: Neca, Sota, and Hasbro come to mind.

I know that Marvel Legends has a database (marvellegends.net) so there are definitely databases out there, but none of them are quite as comprehensive as MFC.

I would love to see an MFC variant that focuses on western figures. There are some site such as DASH and SideShow Freaks that focuses on western figures but not on the level of MFC. I have several western figures and statues from NECA, Bowen, Sideshow, HotToys, and threeA that are not listed on this site.
