When you proceed to the payment page, there will be all available shipping options listed at the very top of the page, along with the respective costs. The option you indicated when ordering will be ticked. You can leave it like that or tick any other option. When you proceed to the next page, the shipping costs will be adjusted accordingly.

Although SAL unreg will most probably be the cheapest option, I'd also recommend SAL reg. I've gotten a handful of SAL unreg parcels all right, but one appears to be lost (was sent on September 29th...). Registered gives you more reassurance.

Steven (Il y a 3 ans) #2534872sal unregistered would be cheapest and takes like 2 weeks to us and if you lucky, less than 10 days. Don't do sal registered because this one can take month

Using SAL Registered and Unregistered really have no difference, RSAL gives you Tracking number and insurance while USAL doesn't.
I've had USAL that took over a month (I think it was 6 weeks), and USAL that arrived in a week.
It just depends on your luck and the postage traffic.

    And for your question,
SAL Parcel is not SAL as we speak, we usually call USAL/RSAL as SAL shipping, and SAL Parcel is something different.
SAL has 2kg weight limit and some size limitations, so if your figure is really heavy
or really large, you may be forced to use Parcel or EMS.

But for your figure, it should be fine with USAL/RSAL.
You can easily change shipping method when you go to pay, so there is no need to contact Amiami again.

If you are curious, RSAL just provides you with Tracking number and insurance up to 6000 yen.
There is no speed different between USAL and RSAL, it depends on your luck.
Mine took exactly 2 weeks for both my RSAL shipments, while USAL was 1 week ~ 6 weeks.

At this time of the year, I strongly recommend RSAL because it can get damaged or lost (it could even go to someone else's house!)

I've had items shipped SAL unregistered to me without a problem. I'll only use EMS if the retailer doesn't offer SAL as an option, usually it's for large packages which is fine with me.

SAL unreg for everything always. Works for me, but if your local post services are known for getting packages lost then I might recommend using the registered version instead.

About your inquiry about shipping methods with AmiAmi, the best I find for most cases is to use SAL Registered. It's nice to be able to track your package for only a dollar or two more. For larger items/shipments, EMS is the best value for your dollar I find. The cost for REG SAL is maybe 5-10 dollars cheaper at most and the difference between the two is that you may be waiting a month with option REG SAL compared to a week with EMS. AmiAmi tends to use larger boxes for their figures which increases shipping costs more-so than other stores. The upside to this though is that the packaging they use is normally over the required amount which ensures your product will arrive safely almost 100% of the time bar some crazy circumstances or the product was broken beforehand. Like all things though there's a chance it can be damaged in transit, but the packaging methods AmiAmi practices are some of the best I have encountered for ensuring my product arrives safely.

Experience with about 90% of my figures shipped to Canada using AmiAmi.

I don't mind waiting a couple weeks for a package to arrive so I always use SAL registered. It is the cheapest method I use.

hatchetsforhands (Il y a 3 ans) #2534874SAL unregistered/registered is SO much cheaper. Keep in mind it is the slowest shipping method.
For just a single Nendoroid being shipped, SAL unreg is about $6 USD, and $10 USD registered.
    I hope this helps you!
