Demons, demons, and more demons!

This loot article has been five months in the making. In anticipation of my second major haul, I decided to write about my first massive (and equally expensive) online binge purchase from Japan.

Just to give you an idea of the magnitude of this loot is, here is a photo of the boxes in which my purchases came in.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/05/13/1284213.jpeg

Now, I did not order that many boxes. All my purchases were divided by my proxy into four different boxes (i.e. the ones with "FRAGILE" labels). This is also one of the reasons why shipping became really costly. The separation of my items into different boxes was done without my consent. Also, they did not remove my items from the boxes in which they originally came in, and instead put the smaller boxes into the bigger boxes. Damn. Not only did that add to the weight, but it also consumed a lot of space. And to end this rant paragraph with another rant, I had to pay more than $100 to claim my packages from customs. Damn.

Without further ado, let's proceed with the items.

The most expensive out of all the items I bought is this Shin Megami Tensei Minna no Kuji set.
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/05/13/1284206.jpeg
Despite the price, this purchase is a no-brainer because I know it is well worth it.
The crown jewel in this set is the Hitoshura/Demifiend figure. (ITEM #161260) I would have paid the price of the set just to get him. And he is really impressive.
I was looking forward to Vishnu (ITEM #165287) but he just came out okay.
The Decarabia plush (ITEM #165314) is quite impressive and highly satisfying.
Nue (ITEM #165286) and Jack Lantern (ITEM #165288) are also very well-made, especially the latter. I only wished Jack's lantern has the option to be lit, and Nue should be bigger.
I'm not really a fan of keychains, and I would have rather had Inugami (ITEM #254788), Gogmagog (ITEM #293309), Mitamas (ITEM #293311), Poltergeist (ITEM #293312), and Onmoraki (ITEM #293314) as figures. Unfortunately, I don't want to risk damaging them by removing the metal ring on each of them.
There are three sets of clear files. The first set includes the Chaos Hero (ITEM #300668), King Frost (ITEM #306086), Nekomata (ITEM #306091), Neutral Hero (ITEM #306077), and Law Hero (ITEM #306079). The second includes Demifiend (ITEM #306094), the Four Horsemen (ITEM #306105), Cu Chulainn (ITEM #306099), Black Frost (ITEM #306109), and Lilim (ITEM #306108). The third set includes Nemissa (ITEM #300676), Dr. Victor & Mary (ITEM #306112), Demonee-ho (ITEM #306119), Jack Frost & Jack Lantern (ITEM #306116), and Alice (ITEM #306118).

Whew! That's a lot of links.

Next is Lucifer, the Angel who Rebelled against God (ITEM #63794), and Cerberus, the Guard Dog of Hades (ITEM #63795), by Furyu.
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/05/13/1284207.jpeg
Despite the rather high prices compared to the other Furyu figures, Lucifer is actually pretty simple with a rather poor paint job. Cerberus is also pretty basic.

Mother Harlot (ITEM #104132) and Alice and Jack Frost (ITEM #104131)!
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/05/13/1284201.jpeg
Now these two (three?) figures are really worth the price; not to mention that they are somehow affordable. Mother Harlot is big and menacing. Alice is eerie. And Jack Frost is all too adorable. I don't even want to get the Nendoroid anymore!

The Prince of Hell, Satan (ITEM #146129), and the Norse God of Mischief, Loki (ITEM #83755).
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/05/13/1284208.jpeg
I have had a number of unfortunate experiences with Satan in the past. I had to order FIVE figures just to get one without broken wings or arms. Thankfully, I finally have one! This figure is one of my favorites out of all the Furyu figures. It's sad that the nipples are not included, though. As for Loki, you can not go wrong with this figure. It's shiny. And I like the icy base.

Black Frost (ITEM #122883), Mokoi (ITEM #122903), and Mothman (ITEM #1228850) are similarly-sized figures from the Nakamachi line of figures by Furyu.
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/05/13/1284202.jpeg
Mokoi and Black Frost are both really well-made. But Mokoi wins by an inch, thanks to a more detailed and better paint job. Now, I'm not entirely sure why they made Mothman so flat.

And that's it for the demons. I wish I had more.

Now, on to the Persona figures!

What better way to start than with the Evoker (ITEM #159533), Elizabeth (ITEM #159532), and Minato/Makoto (ITEM #159531)?
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/05/13/1284203.jpeg
The Evoker is every Persona fan's dream. You can do a lot of poses with it since you can actually do it for cosplay, not that I do that myself. It's just fun to point to your head. PS It's actually a water gun. I have read a lot of negative feedback on the Elizabeth figure by HappyKuji, but I actually like her very much. Same goes with P3 MC. I like him better than the other commercially available versions.

Here is another Persona loot:
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/05/13/1284204.jpeg
This includes a 1/8 scale of Shinjiro Aragaki and Koromaru (ITEM #193001), and two versions of Aegis: ITEM #193000 and ITEM #193004. The Compendium alarm clock (ITEM #193002) is really amazing; though, I have yet to be woken by it in the same sense that I have yet to eat ramen from the Iwatodai Gourmet Bowl (ITEM #193003). There is also a chibi Chidori (ITEM #212733), and rubber straps featuring Shinji (ITEM #213362), Ken (ITEM #213365), Jin (ITEM #213496), and Takaya (ITEM #213497). Last in this package is a clear file (ITEM #216403).

The final item in this loot is the Compendium memo pads.
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/05/13/1284205.jpeg
It is available in two versions. One with the generic mask design, and the other with the Fool arcana.

Whew! That's a lot!

Here is my entire SMT collection as it stands now:
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2015/02/21/1226324.jpeg

I promised myself to control myself from buying again after this haul; but just last week, I had few other shipments more expensive than this sent to me.

Damn, my girlfriend is going to be furious at me...

I don't really know about the job market in the US and of course it varies from state to state. But the common thing they ask for is experience. For entry level jobs :( Depending on the wording though I can use all the troubleshooting I've done for family and friends, and all the classes that taught me relevant thinking skills :D
My "disposable income" comes from chores and jobs my parents give me, but I went too crazy. So now its on my credit card :P, I "technically" have the money to pay it, from a non-college fund. But even though its legally mine, its still my parents house

I'm sure you'll find a job fit for you someday. It might take a while, but you'll find it. Let's both try to control our impluse to buy for now. :)

Kimm134SayaIl y a 5 ans#3012971Good luck on finding a good job! I actually finished college (just last year) with honors, but my current job has a so-so salary. It's pretty difficult to find a decent-paying job here in my country. What I used to pay for my collection is not really disposable income. I just happened to have a credit card! Paying my debt off is another question.

Thanks! I couldn't justify finishing University even being pretty much a junior in credit hours. I was behind in my major, physics, I tried my best to study but I still suck at it. The way I am now it would have been bad to continue and all the other non science majors at my college I could make it through, but then I'd be 2-2.5 years behind. I thought it'd be better to start working and make money than spend money for a piece of paper in a field I don't care about. I'm also never had to take student loans. Luckily my parents were both educated and my grandparents and my parents put money away in funds for my education. Kinda feel like I'm a let down not finishing, but they understand. If I can ever find one the entry level pay isn't great either, but I can move up fast depending on my knowledge and work ethic.

willierocksIl y a 5 ans#3012500I wouldn't be so down about my overspending if I had a disposable income. Won't be able to buy anything for a long time if I'm not able to find an entry level job that doesn't require 5 years of entry level job experience :'( I'm trying to make connections though since thats how it seems to be in IT. I actually told a friend he might like to go into the field too. He got a mid level job already, but he had finished college and had a year of work, where as I can't justify finishing a degree at this time, and no work experience. I couldn't juggle just school, so a part time job was out of the question.

Kimm134SayaIl y a 5 ans#3011878I'm guessing you preordered Yukari. I'm also waiting for her to arrive.
I actually live in the Philippines which is not that far from Japan, but shipping is still very expensive. I paid a total of 36417 yen just to have these boxes shipped to me! And our government's customs is pretty much as corrupt as corrupt goes; so you just imagine how much I had to pay for my packages to be released. :(

Oh man, that really sucks. I'd be really mad and sad about that. Customs in a lot of countries sounds like a pain.

I'm actually waiting on Kurumi. Amiami still doesn't have a definitive dare for release. Still just late may.

That's a lot
I purchased my first order from amiami. I just kept adding pre-owned figures. I have 2 orders for this month, one has a preorder that doesn't come out till the end of the month, but still overall it was 25000JPY for one with shipping the other one is 25000JPY without shipping. The yen added up so quickly!!! :(
Dang expensive figures!
What country are you in? Everyone says US doesn't usually pay customs
I NEED A JOB!!

I'm playing P3 at the mo and a lot of your figures are my best fusions. :) I don't think I've ever fused Lucifer before, but if I do I'm sure the summoning animation will look very cool. I'm at the tail end of the game and all this enemy-grinding is driving me nuts. That Decarabia pillow is funny; Decarabia always seems to be useful for a lot of fusions and that pillow reminds me of that fact.

Isn't that 3D effect of the clear file wild? I've never seen a 3D file until that kuji. I got the Aigis ocean one and because of the effect I feel like I can look out in the distance, haha.
