Are you enjoying the change in seasons, MFC? It's finally starting to look like autumn in my neck of the woods. Time to make the home extra comfy in preparation for hiding from the oncoming winter chill!

Today's 11/11... Pocky Day! Make sure to enjoy some Pocky, Pretz or other I-shaped treats :9 I've got some "White Cookie Pepero" (like a cookies 'n' cream stick) and oddly enough, it tastes way better today. Yesterday and the day before I thought it was mediocre...

This loot is pretty much only figures (the plastic) and books (the paper), surprisingly. Not much on the goods and trinkets front this time around, but there's always next time.

figures
First off, another addition to my Hyakka Ryouran collection, Gotou Matabei!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447269261.jpeg
After seeing the new version of Matabei, I was surprised her brush didn't have alternative spear parts. So I decided to go with her older counterpart, which coincidentally had a little price drop :)
Waiting on Uesuge Kagekatsu to round off my Samurai Girl Gang. Just a few more weeks...

Next, Queen's Blade's Siggy and Luna Luna!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447269263.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447269265.jpeg
Siggy I picked up on the aftermarket with her sexy bonus Oda-non shitajiki, while Luna Luna had a re-release that came with a big two-sided F.S bath poster that I couldn't pass on.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447271615.jpeg
With these two, I'm another step closer to my dream Queen's Blade shelf, which also should be complete in a few weeks.

One more Deadly Sin for me: Astaroth!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447271605.jpeg
I love my sad little peppermint!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447271607.jpeg
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447271609.jpeg

Her bonus towel isn't really a towel but more of a long, slightly thicker microfiber cloth. Still, it's really gorgeous. I need to get some hooks so I can actually hang it.

On that note, here's my autumn display, before her arrival:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447271613.jpeg
I'll either needs to use some clever risers or move them to my detolf to fit her in :>

After a long wait, here comes Bunny Muramasa!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447271611.jpeg
She really came out fantastic. Those hips and long legs are a work of art >u< Got a very cool display plan for her, you'll see...

From my last post I made an unexpected purchase, Koto's SF Kasugano Sakura. I decided to pair her up with another Bishoujo figure I've been long eyeing up.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447271621.jpeg
Han Juri! The one leg poses and light/dark colors should compliment each other nicely.

On the small figure front, here's Mikazuki Munechika and Kashuu Kiyomitsu!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447269269.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447271623.jpeg
I was thinking I might sell Jiji when he arrives, but then MFC got flooded with adorable photos of him and his teacup. THANKS GUYS lol

Nendo Cheerleaders, and Dead Yamcha, which is probably one of the funniest figures I've ever seen. I've lined up his packaging here just to show how tiny he is.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447271617.jpeg
If he was made of something sturdier than PVC I'd be raising hell with him right now.

And lastly for the season, figma Cardcaptor Sakura!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447269267.jpeg
I'm surprised how many people I've seen selling her! Sakura is one of my favorite figma (besides Drossel Charming). Originally she came with a dot of paint missing on the front of her dress, but GSC kidnly sent me a replacement. I never disassembled a figma though. Dismantling her entire body and reassembling it was interesting, but only took a few minutes.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447271619.jpeg
Sakura and Drossel Charming, in vogue.

Art Books & Comiket Doujinshi
ABCD get it? Hon hon hon.

So this is what we're working with:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447273350.jpeg
Firstly, here's some older artbooks I picked up on the cheap:

Der Mond, Die Sterne, and Carmine [Yoshiyuki Sadamoto]:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447272542.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447272708.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447272702.jpeg
The Evangelion artbooks. The pictures of Misato and Kaji are my favorite.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447272706.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447272704.jpeg
Django!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447273354.jpeg
This is a fanzine for Zoku Satsuriku no Django: Jigoku no Shoukinkubi. It contains game stills, character sketches, and color artwork.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447273348.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447273352.jpeg
My beloved Nobody <3

Pornojester:

I decided to add Nishii's artbooks to my hitlist, and I so happened to stumble upon this older book, which also happens to have some Tre Donne Cudeli art. Yet somehow, it seems I failed to take a picture of the cover. orz

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447273889.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447273891.jpeg
Interesting stuff in here...

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447273893.jpeg
Is she the inspiration for Astaroth's design?

Kotono no Tsurugi:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447274050.jpeg
I've been purposely omitting my FMDM loot from my loot posts to make a collection tour post later, but I'll let this book slide. It's a FMDM side story about a girl named Kotono and a woman named Joan.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447274052.jpeg
The illustrations for the story are not just 3D...

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447274054.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447274056.jpeg
...they're figma! A special set of figma were made for this book, and the photos were simply photoshopped to remove the joints. I wish that they had sold the Armormasa figma though...

On the older doujin front...

Isshoni Gohan Tabetai Compilation 2:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447274416.jpeg

The second compilation volume of this series. It must be awesome to eat mouthwatering food and make comics about it. What a living!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447274418.jpeg
=Pink2:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447274412.jpeg
The sequel to =Pink. This one has more pink. Though at first I admit, I thought it was the same girl until I saw the group pictures in the back.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447274414.jpeg
Oyatsu Jikan:

Girls and sweets, as drawn by Canvas. Sweet sugary moé~

Rail Wars! Semi-Official Branch Line 1-3:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447275184.jpeg
I'm a sucker for Vania600 art so here we go.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447275186.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447275188.jpeg
The first two books have a train/character info section, followed by an art & fanart section, and topped off with a cover art tutorial. The third book is mainly eye candy.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447275192.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447275194.jpeg
Gothic Lolita XXX Pop-Up:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447275406.jpeg
Choco is something else. I can't really do this justice at all with a camera. You just have to see it for yourself in person, but on the bright side it is really cheap at this point.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447275408.jpeg
Odin Sphere Tribute Book:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447287924.jpeg
Looks rather unassuming, doesn't it? Okay, so I'm not at all into Odin Sphere but the artist list on this book is insane so please hop over to Mandarake or what have you and get a copy of this book. @_@

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447287926.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447287928.jpeg
Oda-non tearing it up, as always. I feel like I haven't seen new CHANxCO in ages.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447287930.jpeg
If they sculpt this Wada Rco picture into a figure I'm in so much trouble.

And now, on to the newer stuff. Comiket 88 was good to me! My haul was split between Melonbooks and Toranoana.

Isshoni Gohan Tabetai: Asia Compilation

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447289433.jpeg
This book compiles several installations of the Tabetai series from Thailand, India, Nepal, Cambodia, and even a little of Europe.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447289437.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447289435.jpeg
It's awesome seeing all this world food and related sightseeing snapshots. I want to go to Thailand sooo bad. Good food and Muay Thai... :9

Isshoni Gohan Tabetai: Las Vegas

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447289439.jpeg
Not a compilation but I needed it anyway. I think it's amusing to think of Vegas as a culinary destination. There's free-flow casino cocktails and huge buffets, which fits in with the overall rich indulgent theme of Vegas. And then there's...

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447289441.jpeg
...oh my goodness, the Heart Attack Grill. Calories filled with more calories.

In case you're wondering:
Yes, the Heart Attack Grill is real.
Yes, people have had heart attacks there.
But, if you're over 350lbs you can eat for free, so there's that.
You must wear a patient gown while you eat, and if you can't finish your meal, a spanking is in store for you from one of the waitress-nurses. The burger pictured is called a Quadruple Bypass and has four beef patties and 20 slices of bacon. My body is far from ready and may never be. LOL

Separate Tea Dresser:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447290065.jpeg
Being excited about all things tea, I bought this on a semi-whim. What the hell is a separate tea dresser?

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447290067.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447290069.jpeg
As it so happens, it's a tutorial on how to make separate tea (a layered tea drink) and then dress it with different flavors. I need to try this!

Depachika Cakeshop Uniform Collection:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447290071.jpeg
This is interesting. A book of uniforms worn at different sweets shops in department store basements in Japan. The back of the book also has some sweets sold at said shops. I recognize Godiva (of course) and one, maybe two other names from events I've been to.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447290073.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447290075.jpeg
School Girls 2:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447290555.jpeg
Another Canvas book. Cute schoolgirls with a splash of iM@S.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447290557.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447290559.jpeg
Dahlia:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447290553.jpeg
Another random pick. I don't have too many books with the wet-brush painting style. Dahlia makes me go, "Why not?"

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447290561.jpeg
Tadaima:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447291115.jpeg
This is a PMMM: Hangyaku no Monogatari book that begs the question: What if, after everything Homura did in Rebellion...

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447291117.jpeg
...Madoka went back to being BFFs with Sayaka?

Kojirase Akuma-chan!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447291111.jpeg
This one is humor and a little ecchi. It's funny to watch Madoka, in that Madoka manner of hers, handle finding out her classmate is a devil and has a life-size UMad statue in her home.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447291113.jpeg
And lastly, the NSFW:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447292407.jpeg
Candy Girl. This Pochaco fanbook sold out fast and almost slipped through my fingers. Go Pochaco! Also picked up the latest Marisa saga book, but to be honest it's pretty lackluster.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447292409.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447292411.jpeg
DELIGHTFULLY FUCKABLE AND UNREFINED!!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447292413.jpeg
This series released two books for Comiket: Anal-Fuck Day and Fellatio Day. I decided to pick up the other older books, DFAU and Happy Hour, as well. Why not?

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447292415.jpeg http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447292417.jpeg
It includes mention of the next book (in Shibuya) and the upcoming Native figure of Rui! I can't get enough of the sex goddess that is Mari, so I hope they sculpt her too.

Lastly, Toranoana had a "Thanksgiving event" where you could get a free random clear file with the purchase of 3+ select books. I should have gotten two files, peh. But here's my file with artwork by Ito Ben. It's actually bigger than the standard clear file.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/theyasminshow1447292419.jpeg
In case you're wondering: Yes, my doujinshi shelf is full.

Okay, I lied. I do have a piece of item loot to share. But it's so... so...

...it'll make for a post by itself. Until next episode!

Oh man those pop-up artbooks I've seen multiple times before, they are amazing!

Also I'm amazed and intrigued that the Heart Attack Grill is mentioned in a Japanese medium, but to be honest it looks a lot more cute and interesting than the real thing is. xD Also the tea book is really interesting, good luck with trying it out!

theyasminshow (Il y a 3 ans) #4676078Chogokin Drossel is about 45mm taller than figma Drossel, so she might still fit on the bike. Thankfully the bike is a lot cheaper than Drossel herself, lol. Good to know, maybe I'll try one day :) (but not this year >.< )...
(I just realized that Chogokin released two variants, one in 2010 and one in 2012. lol...)

From what I've seen, they're both almost identical in posability and accessories. figma Drossel has the option of getting the Josef/Joseph motorbike on the side. I'm not sure if the Chogokin version has that.

theyasminshow (Il y a 3 ans) #4651618Hmm, I marked the entry as NSFW, I thought that put the entire entry under a cut?

It does, but since NSFW ranges everywhere from slightly suggestive to more, usually people put anything more than a figure just showing some assets off under a spoiler. Because well, I'm not sure EVERYONE wants to see some explicit porn in an article on a figure site.

Aww, you don't have to, but I appreciate it!

The uniforms are cute, but I also want it for the food illustrations. Japanese department store bakeries are all just so (º﹃º)

Had no idea there were so many Isshoni Gohan Tabetai books. Well, actually I sort of can. Picked up a couple in Japan last month along with some other doujins and a new one came out during our trip.
Also, where did you get the cake shop uniform doujin? Think I need that one...

There are a lot of Tabetai books, I have to sell a few of mine since I found the compilations. I still buy a few of the one-offs though, like Vegas. one of these days I'll add them to the db

Cakeshop is from Toranoana, but it looks like they're sold out: www.toranoana.j...

The figma Drossel... I have the other, non-figma one. In a way I see no real difference. Both are posable... Hmmm, what about the extras? Replacable heads, posing items? I got a full box of items with her. So, yea I was in a way curious about the figma one.

Awesome loot all around! Really really love all the artbooks/doujins you showed off especially, and I usually don't collect either. Now I know I NEEEEED those food ones and that Odin Sphere. Oh my goodness. Odin Sphere Tribute I'm going to buy just for that art of Onyx and his Vulcans♥

If you're gonna rob me, better bring backup 'cos these books are heavy LOL
The Odin Sphere book is pretty gorgeous all around, I think you'll like it ^^
