Hello everybody.
First of all I apologize if this shouldn't be asked here on this community but as the topic is related to Japan, I just wanted to see if I can get some help. If this goes against the guidelines I'll delete this asap, it's my first time asking something here so I'm very sorry (since this is not figure-related).

http://www.jetpens.com/images/PenPedia/special_japanese_pens/special_jetpens_tips.jpgI recently found a store in USA called Jetpens which sells a great variety of Japanese stationery products (brands like Copic, Sun-star, Kuretake, Pentel, etc) which at the same time are my weekness since I collect journals and stationery related stuff.
I'm an artist and this website offers a great selection of pens I'd like to get for my art journal and everyday drawings.
However, while trying to purchase something I found out that the shipping costs way too ridiculous to my country (Colombia/South America), even getting 2 cheap pens would cost me $44 only in shipping. I am very sad since I buy other stuff from USA and the store never charge me so much for things (frequent user of Modcloth).

So my question is: Do you know alternatives for this kind of store?
I am looking for a store that sells the same brands and ships worldwide. Or maybe a stationery store in Japan (selling same brands) that ships worldwide as well. Or maybe other options/suggestions that can help me in some way?

Thank you in advance for your help!!

>>>EDIT: Thanks a BUNCH everybody for sharing such amazing websites!! For now I'm gonna try CultPens(UK) as they offer what I'm looking for plus cheap shipping to Colombia :D

Oh, thanks a lot! I'm already making a great directory of useful sites related to stationery :3
Yes, they don't have the same variety of products like Jetpens, however they do carry some of the pens I'm interested in plus their shipping costs are indeed cheaper than Jetpens WHICH IS AWESOME!!! Thank you so much :D

I was thinking about it as well: using a proxy, however I've never used once before but there's always a first time right?
Thanks a lot for sharing your trusty proxy I'll be checking them to see the costs of shipping ^^

CrimsonPumpkinIl y a 4 ans#12078946I was thinking about this option but, how do you find a trustworthy store there? And do you order different types of pens from same store or different store? Sorry for my questions, I just have experience on ordering from Kidsroom and Toysanta so that's why I'm not too sure on how to order pens or other stationery items from Rakuten.
Thank you!!

I buy from the shops on Rakuten that have high positive ratings. I recently bought some pens from this shop: global.rakuten....

Everything went smoothly and they have a large selection to choose from.

Rakuten works like Amazon in the way that, if you buy from more than one store, each store will ship out their products separately. If I'm after specific items, I try to find a high-rated store that has all or most of them in stock, so that I only have to buy from one store.

I'm not sure if you're into journals, but global.rakuten.... has some nice ones. They also included a free sample of tea with my order.

I'm trying to avoid places like ebay and amazon due to the situation that always happens to all packages coming from these sites from USA. Here in Colombia, almos everything coming from those websites get lost or stolen during transit (obviously while held by customs here). Some Colombians tend to buy electronics online from USA cos is cheaper but things won't arrive in mint condition or half of the contents are lost usually.

Anyways, thank you so much for your input since I want to have different options :)

Unfortunately, both sites charge a ridiculous value for shipping ($44 usd for 1 mere mechanical pencil). But still it's great to have more options just in case I hot with a proxy service!
Jetpens is to die for, with such variety! Thanks for the info ^^

I'm not sure if they have the exact same products JetPens do, but in the past I've used these sites: pencils.jp (ships directly from Japan) and thejournalshop.... (ships from the UK).
I haven't ordered from them in a little while, but I remember the shipping fee for both being reasonable (the fee from TJS was the most expensive of the two). I live in Canada, and I often avoid US sites because the shipping tends to be really high, so I understand how you feel.

I hope this helps!
