Hey Guys,

What do your gf/bf thinks of your figure collection?

My gf has no issue with my collection but won't let me get more of them mainly for financial reasons because I only collect scale figures.

Also, I'm feel a bit awkward when she stares at my new figures because the thing is, in real life, my personality has no single connection with animate figures, I'm a finance person and I don't watch animes anymore like I used to do when I was a high school student. My dad used to ask me to throw away those figures because for him, those "girl toys" should not be seen by their guests because it would make them awkward.

What about you guys?

My wife does not care and has known I have been into anime for a long time before I ever met her. As far as spending goes she doesn't care either (though buying her Prada bags etc keeps her happy and silent lol)
In terms of what guests think I don't have that problem as my tower cases and figures are all in a dedicated room upstairs (kind of an otaku room I guess). I would never display them out for all guests to see (ie main living room).
There are quite a few very sexy ecchi figures as well.

I'm at that point in my life where if I can't share what makes me happy with someone then they aren't the person for me. That includes my figure collecting.

Ideally I'd like to have an so who likes to collect too though.

I keep my "toys" upstairs in my den. I agree that people would be weirded out by my toys be it mechas or figures (non-hentai) but still why bother making people uncomfortable. My wife doesn't mind as my figures are of my favourite shows and I don't get out of hand with my purchases (although I constantly seem to run out of space mysteriously). Enjoy collecting, when they have no more meaning to you anymore, just make sure they go to a happy home. :)

I currently don't have a significant other right now but my parents were first opposed to me figure collecting but now have grown to be okay with it since I did only spend the money I had earned during last summer. They also think that its better for me to spend it on this instead of drugs/alcohol etc and this doesn't really impede my education haha.

I have two groups of friends that know I collect, my high school buds and my Asian friends. My Asian friends support my hobby and think its cool but my high school buds think I've spent too much in a short period of time and call me a weeb and what not. I don't mind, collecting makes me happy. :)

My bf doesn't collect figures himself, but he likes to see me happy when i get a new treasure and supports me as long as I'm still able to pay my bills. I might get him a little something as soon as I find a nice figure from one of his favorites though. :3

My soulmate thinks I only need her. As her admiral, I get the final say though. I'll dust her off if she'll get angry at me.

As far as I know, all my 'other half' thinks when seeing my collection is when I will sell my Milhi figure, since he wants one too.

He's quite the enthusiastic figure collector himself, and since our interests have some overlap, the biggest issue tends to be deciding who gets the good deals. 'You can have it, I know you want it too. - No, you can have it, you saw it first!'
