Commentaires The New Portrait Of Pirates Section

  • I've seen your PoP section before and I LOVE how you went all out with the redesign. The dedication that went into printing all of the decking, the logos and the backgrounds...! The backgrounds are my favourite part about this entire project, since I love One Piece's immersive world so much, and the series' worldbuilding is one of its strongest points. Did you take the screenshots to be printed yourself or did you use something like the Wiki?

All of your friends who helped make this happen are amazing too!! Sounds like you all had a lot of fun together. :D

I love this to bits. Good to see devoted P.O.P. collectors out there. (I still need to get my hands on Kalifa's... orz)

SengokuGensuiIl y a 3 ans#18983583Very nice! Lots of dedication is shown here! Beautiful! :D

Thanks! Yep I do love One Piece and like I said this section will expand! lol

    Thanks! ^^

one slight thing that irks me about the POP line is their colourful bases which distracts from the figures. Some of them are stable enough to stand on their own but not others (especially the ladies with heels)

Thank you! They're a printout of these on A1 paper:

I printed out initially 6 which luckily covered all the shelves. :)
I don't mind the bases too much but I will say that I would prefer it if I could make it look like they are actually standing on the decking rather than the bases but as you mentioned the just aren't stable, Franky being one of the worst as he is a very top heavy figure.

StalgonoffIl y a 3 ans#18989279Your POP collection looks amazing. I'm not particularly a fan of the aesthetic style that OP uses, but with everything together it does look spectacular. I really like the wanted posters so I'm glad you decided to stick with them.

Thank you! More to get yet though! ;) Have you watched it? It'a superb series! :D It does look pretty awesome, just need to get a proper sea for the ships. I was wondering what to do with them, was on the verge of throwing them away, glad I didn't!

HalcioneIl y a 3 ans#19001019It all looks quite good with those backgrounds added in, good job :D

Thanks! The backgrounds close up are actually quite blurry but from a distance you wouldn't notice it, I was considering having them A2 size but soon realized that would be too big! lol

MugiwaraPiratesIl y a 3 ans#19007887Wow! That's really awesome how you did that! The backgrounds blend in so well with the figures/ships! I still need to complete my POP line but every time I plan on buying one there's something else that comes first :p. I guess there are just too many figures I cannot resist on buying XD.

Thanks! :D Yeah I'm glad (with the help of Blaize) I settled on the BG idea as a whole wall of ships decking would have looked as I said boring and stale so the BG'S idea has worked a lot better than I anticipated! Buy more POP'S! XD I know the feeling, I'm going to try my hardest to concentrate on this section, I can't wait to get the marines but damn those prices......

MugenTenshinFRDIl y a 3 ans#19007923I was going to say something similar. haha
It really changed a lot, the atmosphere is totally different and unique now. It gives an even more authentic anime feel.
@MugiwarePirates: Yeah, you still need quite some figures to complete your POP (Sailing Again) collection.

Yeah it has, plus leaving the blue wallpaper BG has help the backgrounds stand out a lot more, so glad I didn't try and join them up which was my initial idea at first. I think we all still need more POP figures! XD
