Shin Megami Tensei 25h Anniversary Minna no Kuji!!!
Shin Megami Tensei, the franchise I live for, celebrated its 25th Anniversary last October 26. As part of the milestone, they did a lottery with FuRyu's Minna no Kuji line. Each ticket costs JPY650, but I ended buying each for almost JPY1000.

This is not new. On the same date in 2013, they already partnered with FuRyu for another Minna no Kuji lottery. Fans of the franchise may know this set primarily because of the Demifiend figure (ITEM #161260), a holy grail among the community. However, their 25th Anniversary lineup is not as extravagant. There are no figures. All the items have practical uses; something I'm not too thrilled about because of the difficulty of displaying them, but for those who prefer usable merch might find these appealing.

I bought 68 tickets from a seller in Japan, but I didn't expect that I'll actually be getting the official distributor's box. That was a surprise and there's more to come.
https://static.myfigurecollection.net/image/Kimm134Saya1514544500.jpeg
When I opened the box, a thin white cardboard box was at the top. I thought it contains the last prize. When I opened it...
https://static.myfigurecollection.net/image/Kimm134Saya1514544600.jpeg
It has the all the promotional materials and tickets which distributing shops in Japan literally use during the course of this lottery! I didn't take photos of everything, but there were a lot.

Right below the promotional materials is the last prize.

Below Decarabia are all the other prizes, with most in separate boxes.

Let's start with the prizes!
Last Prize
https://static.myfigurecollection.net/image/Kimm134Saya1514545268.jpeg
The last prize is a Decarabia Floor Mat (ITEM #657602). For those not familiar with last prizes, it is the prize given out when all the other prizes in the shop have been claimed. It is approximately 60cm wide. At the bottom are rubber dots which provides friction against the floor. I'm not sure why anyone would use it, though. It's irregularly shaped and it's the last prize. It would be difficult and expensive to find a replacement in case the first one is beyond cleaning.
A Prize
https://static.myfigurecollection.net/image/Kimm134Saya1514545364.jpeg
One of SMT's best doggo, Inugami comes as the A Prize as a Dakimakura (ITEM #632105). The pillow is 80cm long. I was expecting it to be thin, but the added width is actually better. There's no point hugging long balloon-sized pillow. It's also extremely soft. I'm not sure if dakimakuras are supposed to be this way since I never owned one.
B Prize
https://static.myfigurecollection.net/image/Kimm134Saya1514546954.jpeg
Another less known doggo, Makami is the B Prize in this lottery and is a Muffler Towel (ITEM #632106). Honestly, I'm not happy with this one. Usually, B prizes are close to A prizes in terms of overall appeal, but the choice to make it a muffler towel is a steep drop. It comes folded in half, but is also 80cm long.
C Prize
https://static.myfigurecollection.net/image/Kimm134Saya1514547086.jpeg
Five Shin Megami Tensei Calendars (ITEM #632110) are included as the C Prize. This desk calendar has prints of characters from the mainline games plus some spin-offs on every page.
D Prize
https://static.myfigurecollection.net/image/Kimm134Saya1514545475.jpeg
The set goes completely bizarre with the D Prize, Mini Buckets of Demonee-ho (ITEM #632107) and Demonica (ITEM #632112). If someone know the actual use of these buckets are, please let me know. I would have liked it more if they just made small replicas of the Demonee-ho and Demonica helmets. It's almost the same, just add a lid.
E Prize
https://static.myfigurecollection.net/image/Kimm134Saya1514547214.jpeg
The E Prizes are also weird, but oddly satisfying. They are wearable masks of Arahabaki (ITEM #632108), Bugaboo (ITEM #632109), Metatron (ITEM #632113), and Krishna (ITEM #632115). Compared to the last two, Arahabaki and Bugaboo are surprise choices for these masks. Only a few people like them, but the few that do would fight over them to the death. They are made pretty well, but Arahabaki looks a little flat. Maybe a few dark shades will make the markings pop out.
F Prize
https://static.myfigurecollection.net/image/Kimm134Saya1514545625.jpeg
F Prize! This is the set I'm most excited about. When they were initially teased, my interest was piqued, but not too much. Then, they announced that they'll be making separate dot rubber straps. My completionist urges instantly sparked. This Dot Rubber Strap set includes Vishnu (ITEM #632118), Lilith (ITEM #632122), Dagda (ITEM #632116), Jack o' Lantern (ITEM #632124), Girimehkala (ITEM #632120), and Loki (ITEM #632123). Aside from these 6, a secret rubber strap is also hidden among these blind boxes, the Phallic Demon, Mara (ITEM #632126). I've seen go for as much as $100 in auctions. The others in the set are neatly made, too. The older sprites from SMT1 and 2 benefit a lot from this style. I already got the other set. I'm excited for the third one.
G Prize
https://static.myfigurecollection.net/image/Kimm134Saya1514547326.jpeg
The lowest reward, G Prize, has five different kinds.
1. Cu Chulainn, Krishna, Masakado, Mephistopheles, Seiten Taisei, Yoshitsune (ITEM #632129)
2. Bugaboo, Heqet, Inaba Shiro Usagi, Kabuso, Kamapua'a, Obariyon (ITEM #632131)
3. Mishaguji, Pisaca, Poltergeist, Quicksilver, Sandman, Tlaloc (ITEM #632128)
4. Cleopatra, Hathor, Leanan Sidhe, Mermaid, Miroku, Napaea, Scathach ITEM #632132)
5. Demonee-ho, Frost Ace, Black Frost, Jack Frost, Jack O’Lantern, King Frost (ITEM #632133)
These are wall stickers, thicker than ordinary stickers. These are also the least desirable merch (maybe on par with the calendar) for me in this set. There's just no display value. It's unpractical to frame these kind of merch, more so if you have hundreds. But if you're decorate your room with demons, I have to agree, it will look badass.

That's everything from the Shin Megami Tensei 25th Anniversary Minna no Kuji! My favorites from this line are the rubber straps, masks, and pillow. It's a bit disappointing, I must say, considering the previous lottery was a lot more eye-catching.

Given this is a quarter century worth of celebration, I expected that they will go all out with demon figures. Demons (the franchise's term for creatures, deities, monsters, etc. from mythology and folklore) are the main reason why I was absorbed in this multiverse. The last demon released (except the outrageously priced Mara) was Satan back years ago. This is the best time to release more. I'm just hoping my wishes come true with the release of Shin Megami Tensei V.

Here's a photo of everything in this package.

Oh, that's really lucky! The last prize is the rarest!

Sadly, all my duplicates already have takers.

Lehst (Il y a 1 an) #30540115So cool....
I like SMT's art so my pick would definitely be the stickers. Love them. The calendar loses points because it is greyscale, and the art featured is just simple character art easily found elsewhere (like my game's manual lol.) But the two pages featuring the Demifiend and the people in Strange Journey is cool.
Likewise I kind of dig the bucket with the Demonica helmet xD. But what the hell would I do with it?? Use is as a flowerpot?
Yeah I remember the lottery with the coveted Demifiend figure. I could have bought a set that included him too... but other figures are priority. And I do prefer SMT art to figures so I only own a few. I was looking for FuRyu's Jack Lantern to pair with Nendoroid Jack Frost, and boy do they look good together. <3 I even lent them a tiny microphone so they could perform "Jack Brothers" lol.
The decarabia is nice and super recognizable. I thought it was that pillow plush at first. Inugami just makes me laugh, excellent pick for a daki x'D . I think my favorite smt demon is Apsaras. D: I want merch of her...
Sadly, there's no official merchandise of Apsaras yet. The only ones I recall that has her print are the art books and the TCG.

aluchen (Il y a 1 an) #30537798I think it's nice to go through the year with your favorite series - and it's decorative as well :D I never use these kinds of calendars to remember important events anyway (got a desk planner for that), so even if the calendar days aren't correct anymore in the next year, I still use them. Makes sense. I'm still bummed there wasn't a figure in this set. 2013's C Prize is just at the same level of this year's A Prize.

Kimm134Saya (Il y a 1 an) #30536198Really? I generally hate calendars. It's difficult to choose which design to display. And they're only useful for a year.

ShaoMay (Il y a 1 an) #30536269I had my eyes on the rubber straps. But I never got to know how to order them. Guess I'll only get the acrylic ones.
Impressive loot!
Which acrylic ones, the chibi? Those are good, too. :)

You can get the Dot Rubber Strap Set 1 (already released) and 2 (February 2018) through most sites. The ones from the lottery are a bit trickier, but they're pretty cheap (if Mara is not included).
