Non-MFC figures psdNon-MFC figures psd

Hi guys,

Just a quick graphics share if anyone want it. There might be one person out there that can use it at least. :D

I just sat and made this PSD file. I think it works well for a custom box on profiles and it's really not too bad replacing an image and inserting two lines of text. :)

The fonts and image frame is 1:1 with the original MFC figure frames and 10,5 Arial font used on small MFC previews.

The PSD

Basically you just grab the psd I uploaded here:
drive.google.co...

Open with Photoshop or GIMP or any other app that can open the format. Edit the name, height and materials and paste in a pretty avatar for the figure.

I chose to implement the image as a clickable link that takes the user to a store page for the figure so at least some details can be seen. :)

But basically you can just put in avatars and info and put them into a custom part on your profile for a neat little addition to your collection. ^^

CloudKingdom (Il y a 1 mois) #67202131I was thinking about that solution too as soon as the problem was mentioned. Not a bad idea. How ever, if you truncate the links you should be able to get more images. Like if using bit.ly or something. But yeah, one big collage image is definitely a good solution. Yeah, I've tried that before, but MFC doesn't like to recognize the "shortened" links as images. It likely works for URL's but it will display a jacked up URL a lot of times instead of the image you linked if the URL isn't just like it expects. It seems to be extra picky with image links sadly. :( So this is the only workaround I've found so far and am still trying to get it set up, but will share what I did once I am done.

Stacycmc (Il y a 1 mois) #67201034Just wanted to drop an update... as I too had tried to go the "custom" section route to add in all my figures, and would add a little thumbnail for each that linked to a page somewhere (other than MFC) that had more info on the figure. It worked great for a while and I even had an "owned" and "ordered" section...BUT... I quickly hit the max character limit for the custom sections after about six figures. :(
So my solution is now to show ONE image that makes it look like various thumbnails to all my figures, and that image will link to a BLOG post, where I can log each figure and it's own thumbnail under an owned and ordered section, and have the links still that take you to another page for more info.
Anyway, just wanted to offer that info up, as the custom section on the profile page works great if you only have 3-4 entries, but if you have >5 or 6 you will quickly hit the character limit if you are trying to show a thumbnail and link to more info.

freshringo (Il y a 1 mois) #67196154Yeah, I figured that was the case but was hoping there'd be a way around it somehow!
It's no problem, I'll try to condense my list haha. Thanks again for this idea!

Looks good on your profile doe!

CloudKingdom (Il y a 1 mois) #67195798Oof, that might be a limitation of MFC custom boxes. My guess would be you could get more images without links. :( Sorry, I didn't know they had that limitation set.

freshringo (Il y a 1 mois) #67195199Hi! Love this idea and tried adding it to my profile! However, I ran into an issue where the textbox seems to run out of space. Did you see this before/have any idea how to fix it? ><;
When I preview in the editor it looks okay:

But on my profile it cuts off :(

RebMae (Il y a 1 mois) #66859315Hello. Someone please explain to me how to make this using smartphone only. Particularly Android?

Hi RebMae,
That's unfortunately not possible I think. :/ Unless you can make PhotoShop do it on iPhone or Android. :) Sadly I lack experience in that regard.

I recommend a PC with the mentioned tools.

Good luck! :)
