The maker game you linked was also pretty useful. I have art block when it comes to thinking up of what simple characters to 3D model. If only I have the time to model.

Painting isn't my forte, and I don't have access to an air compressor and a spray booth, so I'll probably be forced to do it by ye olde elbow grease. I also kinda fucked it up by permanently gluing the whiskers and hair antennae, so there's also that. I'll figure it out somehow lol.

Sanding... I hate sanding so much, I eventually reach the point of "Eh, those seams/bumps/etc are artistic choices for which I cannot be judged." (Shh, they totally are. Everyone buys it! They do. They do!)

Yeah, I was thinking of going the extra mile and whipping out my good old polishing compound and dremel... but decided nah. I've been writing the article for 2 weeks and just hit the threshold of my patience. The imperfections will stay.

I find that sculpting is just a test of endurance and patience. I feel that anybody can get pretty good at sculpting once they hunker down and sculpt based on reference. Even if it takes 2 months per sculpt, eventually, something pretty decent will come about the struggles.
