hello mfc!
today i just wanted to make a random article about an unfortunate event that happened recently...
a little over a week ago ITEM #90773 arrived at my doorstep. i had ordered the figure from a fellow user here on mfc and she had been shipped from argentina (btw, i don't blame any of what happened to the figure on the user in question lol). when i opened the package, i saw probably the worst example of package damage to a figure i've ever personally recieved :,D
mind you the tin the figure comes in is METAL. and it isn't particularly thin metal either.

but the horror doesn't stop there...i opened the tin and while there was paper in there that had supposedly been wrapped around the figure, it must have fallen off the pieces in transit and left the pieces mostly loose in the tin...that means there are paint transfers EVERYWHERE and MANY broken pieces. it doesn't help that she was originally an assembly kit anyway, so the pieces either weren't assembled yet (and therefore were all loose to begin with) or they had been glued and come unglued.

spoiler on this one for slight NSFW (pantsu shot)

luckily this story has a happy ending, as i've since glued her back together! here she is:

she still has all the paint transfers on her (i don't have a magic eraser), but i don't mind too much, i don't let defects to figures stop me from enjoying them, and i think she's just aodrable :D btw, if any of y'all have similar experiences with items getting beat up in transit feel free to share!

You had to accept dingus. I mean, you paid for an intact figure and got a bunch of scraps. Even if you wanted to keep the figure, at least ask for an 80% refund. In the end you paid for the seller's stupidity and they sit there with your hard-earned money. :/
Whether they "meant" for it to happen or not. They were the reason for letting it happen, not you. Doesn't matter what happened to their other figures, this is about your order, not their others (about which they may or may not lie about, it's honestly irrelevant).
Of course, this is "your" order, so you decide how to handle it, not me. Just giving my 2 cents. ;)
I had something similar happen to me with a seller on MFC. Also very nice and I believe them when they say something like that never happened before but I still wanted my money back and sent the broken/damaged figures back. Both figures were actually less broken than yours but they were in an unacceptable state to me (one of them was actually a grail of mine but especially BECAUSE I like the figure so much, I'm not going to settle for a broken one that I don't feel like ever displaying). I got my 500$ or so back (minus the shipping back fees and the import fees that I couldn't get back because our customs regulation is absolute nonsense and ass...).
Otherwise that sucks that she came so damaged. I've been lucky to not have an experience that bad yet, hope it doesn't happen again.it didn't come in a box lol, the tin was just wrapped in some kind of cushioning material. I did let the seller know what happened to the figure and they were apologetic about it so I didn't feel the need to make it a big deal after that (especially because I too am very non confrontational lmao)
The problem wasn't the shipping. I have received several packaged figures shipped as Surface, so they are kicked around a ship for up to tree months, and never got something like this Likewise, have shipped to countries that are known to be very bad at handling their packages, and never had problems...
This is entirely the person's fault for their TERRIBLE packaging. They should have used bubble wrap or some other way to pad this (there are these thick cardboard things that are very sliced that create a great cushion between the actual box and the insides). Not only that but, given the tin, the figure inside should have also been actually padded.
They were lazy and couldn't care less about how the figure arrived.
Even if the box hadn't been bludgeoned to death, the paint transfers would still happen because the figure itself was left to just go crazy inside the tin...
Sorry for your experience :cyeahh i'll admit that the figure parts themselves could have been packaged a lot better lol. i just can't really find it in me to get mad at the seller since they were super kind and didn't seem to do it on purpose or anything ^^;
