Consider this a sequel news post to MINTBUNNY's Crunchyroll Acquires Rightstuf.
According to ANN, Right Stuf is "phasing out its store" and all products will be moved to the Crunchyroll Store on October 10. There will be a holiday sale at the Crunchy Store similar to those RS has held in the past, but there will be changes.
Apparently, the Crunchy Store will carry everything that RS used to, except for live-action media. There's more details in the ANN link.
Right Stuf's reputation here on MFC is mixed. In general, they have a vast selection of media, but mediocre customer service. Still, they're often the first place I check out for anime Blu-rays, and I've gotten a number of good deals from them in the past. I suppose it was merely a matter of time until their closure after Crunchyroll bought them. For good or for ill, they will be missed.

www.animenewsne...Oh, that's awesome! Thanks for sharing that bit of news.
Especially here in Germany with the "Kaze" Mangalabel, after they took over they increased prices and generally kinda mess up
Agreed, it’s like they’re aiming to build a monopoly and be the only ones or at least the strongest in the anime/manga market.
This sucks, not only because of what you and other people have mentioned but because their packaging also sucks from what I’ve seen.
Guess it’s time for most of us to shop elsewhere…
Putting that aside though, I'm also really bothered by Sony buying up all of the western anime scene and mushing it all into one brand. Honestly, at this point how long will it be before they buy Sentai and we're basically left with one dubbing company? lol

I think they switched warehouse distributors back in april so i don't think you'd have to worry about that.
