Today we'll be taking a look at native's latest heroine, Suzuhara Misae, from the 'Mahou Shoujo' doujinshi illustrated by Raita. I'm not sure if the illustration that Misa-nee is based on was from a particular volume of the doujinshi since it's kind of difficult to find the various volumes and even more confusing to go through them. Raita has a couple of series under his belt but it looks like originally he liked angelic characters but his girls tended to have small breasts and lithe frames. Looking at his evolution you could see more and more full figured girls with very large breasts that just kept getting bigger and bigger. In any case I tried to look through his work but I just found it difficult to follow so I gave up. From what I can tell the figure is faithful to his art styling and the character design.

This being a native figure, you could only order her from their website or through a proxy site. She retailed for around 11,500 Yen but unless you lived in Japan you'll probably pay around 14,000 Yen. She was made to order and the order period was between June and August of 2012. She was released in December of 2012. At this time she's probably still available from various foreign stores that carry figures as well as the secondary market.

The goal today is to take a closer look at the figure and see if she's faithful to Raita's art styling.

Please understand a score of 10 will never be given as there is always room for improvement no matter how perfect a figure.

Packaging: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡
As usual native went with a design that does not allow you to view the figure while in the packaging. And as usual there isn't even a hint of the contents looking at the decoration of the packaging. The colors scheme used seems fitting for the theme of the figure as well as the decoration placed prominently on the "front" of the packaging. The packaging looks good in its simplicity.

Packaging weight and dimensions:
Shipping Weight: 2 Kg

Weight: 1.330 Kg
H: 343 mm
W: 225 mm
D: 230 mm

Depending on where you order her from, you might get her with the shipping box native uses to protect the figure box. A lightweight double layered corrugated cardboard was used for the shipping box offering excellent protection while keeping the weight down. Within it you would find the figure box further protected by tissue paper. The figure box itself is made of a lightweight corrugated cardboard as well. Combining everything seen so far, you easily have excellent protection and a lot of effort would need to be made to damage the figure within. Considering the contents the size of the figure box is not that big when all is said and done. Looking at that excellent protection the weight is actually pretty reasonable. Now for me, the shipping weight of my order was 2 Kg and EMS shipping cost 4,000 Yen from Japan to the US to give you an idea of shipping costs. All in all size, weight and protection were reasonable looking at the figure being protected within.

A very spacious blister was used to enshrine the figure and her accessories. The blister was composed of two main components, one for the figure and the other for her primary wings. The nestled layout further added to the protection provided. The tolerances on the pockets for her accessories were sufficient and there is little risk of anything coming loose during transport. Some plastic sheets were used to protect her from rubbing and paint transfer. The blister pieces were further taped together adding to the overall protection.

Detailed instructions were provided on the care of the figure and of course the illustration the figure was based on as well. Both were appreciated as it is just not done enough by other manufacturers. I think it's the exception that the illustration card is not included with their figures.

The packaging was as expected looking at past native figures in regards to construction and overall looks. The inability to see the figure let alone getting a hint of the contents should be appreciated when dealing with prying eyes inspecting your order. Protection as usual is excellent not only for the figure but the figure box. The price for the excellent protection is of course shipping cost, as mentioned mine cost 4,000 Yen to ship to me at a shipping weight of 2 Kg. She will definitely get to you safely but it may cost you in the end. I'd say she's worth it.

Sculpting: 9.85/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡
Sculpting credits go to Kawanishi Ken who has a decent number of lovely ladies his belt. He's been working with figures for over a decade and you can see a consistent level of quality and detail in his various girls. Expectations are high for this figure based on his past work. Below you can see another native girl he's worked on to give you an idea of what he can do. Other girls from the series are also in the works but it doesn't look like Ken will be involved with those girls though.

According to the instructions her entire lower section can be removed. This is to allow for the installation and removal of her panties. However for mine the parts were so tight I could only remove her left leg. I didn't want to risk damaging the figure trying to force the other parts out. In the end it doesn't look like you need to remove more than just her left leg. The tolerances are definitely tight since I couldn't remove most of her lower section but it wasn't really an issue. As you can see the joints are fairly sturdy and you would have to put some effort into damaging her.

She comes with two different spearheads which when installed measures around 300 mm long. It's very easy to remove and attach the spearheads and it stays in place rather securely. However the mounting peg isn't as sturdy as it could be so care should be taken around it less you snap it off the spear shaft. The spearheads and shaft are fairly detailed from both looks down to the feel of the surfaces. You can feel the individual groves running the length of the shaft. She also comes with two pairs of wings. Now I didn't read the mangas so not really sure if they're supposed to be Valkyries or angels but I'm assuming if they're not, either of the beings were probably inspirations for her. The multiple wings make sense in that case since the angels people are not familiar with actually had multiple wings some even had hundreds of wings. The wings are detailed but also fragile and care should be taken with them.

Attaching the main wings was definitely a chore as it the pegs had to go in at an awkward angle with parts of the figure in the way. Her secondary wings were much easier to install into the back of her head though. It may vary between figures but once the wings were mounted, they were fairly stable and shouldn't pop out.

Let's move on to the main show.

Looks pretty good, right? Well she looks even better in person. There really is no sculpting issues to point out, the few seam lines are barely visible and you have to view her at very specific obscure angles to see them. And even then they are very minimal as you can tell they wanted to hide them which they accomplished. More importantly she seems faithful to Raita's art style. Let's start with her lovely face. For the most part her face appears accurate to the illustration. Her strong features and emotions come out nicely from various profiles especially those eyes and lips of hers. Her strong chiseled chin is definitely accurate to the illustration. The transition from her face to her swan-like neck was graceful and seamless. Her face just looks great no matter how you look at her.

Her hair also looks great from various profiles and seems accurate to the illustration. I especially love that strand across her face. They did a nice job with that along with the excellent job they did minimizing the seam line on the top of her head. It does not stand out but instead it looks like part of the details of her various strands and parts in the hair. I wish the same effort in integrating the seam line with the hairstyle was done more often in other figures. The details put into her hair was also adequate and her hair is somewhat flexible so it should resist resist some damage.

Moving on down you can see her long and slender arms. The sleeves conform to them nicely and show off her physique. The same grooves you find in the spear shaft is present in the sleeves not only in looks but feel. The transition from her flesh to those sleeves were seamless and natural looking. The décolletage looks great, those well defined and bare shoulders and those ample breasts of hers. The jewel definitely completes the scene.

Speaking of her breasts, I don't think you can miss them. They are definitely big but appear accurate to the illustration. They are your typical tear drop shape, just on a massive scale. I'm not really a fan of large breasts but I can still appreciate these especially the attention to detail put into them. If you can't tell there's actually a seam line visible above her left breast. They did such a good job hiding it you basically have to view her at an absurd angle to even see it.

For breasts these the underboobs was done very nicely. They look natural and no ugly scars that you find on other figures. The attention to detail was definitely noticed here. I loved the job they did with her cleavage especially at the part where both breasts start to split, that is just so hot. It may be argued that breasts that large usually do not retain their shape so well but I don't really care since they seem accurate to the illustration. Besides, she's a super natural being meaning her breasts are allowed to defy gravity if they must. I mean come on, she has freaking wings coming out of her back and head!

As distracting as her bunker busters are I say her main charm is those curves of her. Just look at her lovely lines from those bare, well defined shoulders to those long slender arms to that slim waist and those full hips of hers. Now this is one of the areas they didn't stay faithful to the illustration but I think I agree with that choice. If they went with the skirt in the illustration it would have disrupted those lovely lines of hers. Plus it would hide those lovely curves as well. However, it could also be they want to save on cost with less material? Then again, why would the cost be an issue since they would just be past onto you? Speaking of her skirt, I love the job they did on it. It look quite natural with the way it spreads out and drapes around her.

Just look at those lines from the other angles, so many curves that I'm just dizzy going around and around tracing those delicious lines. From those ample breasts down to her lovely midsection to those full hips of her again. I just can't get enough of it. It makes me want to get down on my knees and beg for mercy.

Look at her butt crack. Think about it for a second. Think back to what parts are removable? They did a great job taking advantage of the seam line to create that natural looking butt crack. And of course her lower lips are detailed and leave little to the imagination. I can't get enough of those curves on her and I don't think you can deny that she's got a butt that won't quit.

Moving on down, you can see like her slender and long arms, her legs are the same. Long and sleek but with a nice set of curves. Those thigh high boots are so hot and I love the job they did with the transition from those boots to her thighs. It looks so natural and freaking hot. And I think we see the real reason they changed the skirt, it was to allow her to be stable as you can see they flattened it out to not require any additional support that native has employed in the past. I agree with this choice but I think it was also the aesthetics of her lovely lines.

What can I say? Kawanishi Ken did a fantastic job bringing the illustration to life, the changes I think were appropriate to allow for a more stable figure. I'd say he was very faithful to Raita's work and I wish he would have been involved with the other girls as well. I really had no issues with her in regards to the sculpt. The details were plentiful and the execution was good. If I did have to nitpick I guess more of the torn clothes could have been their own separate pieces instead of being carved out of her torso to define them better. native did a great job on her fit and finish. She was put together well and I doubt she will vary much between figures. Expectations were met and exceeded.

Painting: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡

native usually colors their figures competently using all the tools available. They especially do a great job on the flesh of their figures. This figure is not any different.

Starting with her lovely face you see the nice job they did on her fair complexion. She does have a blush but it's not as pronounced as the illustration. I do wish it was more accurate so it would stand out better. Her eyes and lips look good as well, but it's her hair that seems to be the most accurate of everything on her head. As mentioned they did a very nice job on her flesh but if you looked at the illustration, you'll notice she's sweaty/shiny. I do wish they did that as well and I know they are capable of it. It would have definitely made this figure look even better if they could have pulled that off.

Look at the details in her few pieces of clothes. Look at the part of her skirt that's not meant to be seen, they actually put in the effort to add shading to the details, it wasn't meant to be seen and they still bothered with it. Look at her lovely thigh high boots as well. It's not one flat color but various shades adding to the overall details such as the various bends and curves. However like her flesh her outfit wasn't as shiny as it could have been. The same can be said for her wings, they look good and are somewhat accurate to the illustration but they could have been better.

All in all, they did a nice job and lived up the the native quality I expect. But looking at the illustration I see things they could have gone that little extra bit and made her even better. In either case, expectations were met.

Posing: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡
I think it's better to let the pictures do the talking. As you can see she looks mostly faithful to the illustration. However note the placement of her legs. It looks like they shifted the bottom one to work with the altered skirt to make her as stable as possible. I think they could have kept the original skirt from the illustration but it would have definitely hid a lot of her but at the same time the skirt from the illustration does look pretty amazing and just picturing that implementation on the figure is definitely something I would have loved to see done. I'm not really sure why her wings were changed since they didn't really have to be, more precisely her wings at the back of her head. I think they could have stuck with the illustration without much issue. Her primary wings for the most part seem accurate to the illustration. The only other deviation I could see is her flesh isn't sweaty and that blush of hers isn't as pronounced. Her ribs are not as defined as the illustration but I'm OK with their decision. Her eyes and lips probably could have used more refinement as well but all in all I think they did a decent job.

You do have some display options. You can display her with her two different spearheads. And of course with and without her panties.

However if you don't mind limiting how she is displayed, you could also display her without her wings. You can display her at eye level, above and below without much issue. She looks best at eye level or slightly below it.

She's faithful to the illustration and the changes they made I agree with for the most part. However I do wish they would have brought more things over as they would have made her an even better figure. Expectations were mostly met.

Base: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡
Now they took an interesting approach with her base. At first glance it looks big and bulky. The pattern they use is quite intricate and the the detailing is actually raised. This meant you couldn't rest the figure directly on the base less you end up scratching her up or transferring paint. So they included a cover for the base to rest her on. As you can see the base is a decent size but just big enough for the figure. The interesting thing is the base actually rotates! This means you can view her from all her glorious profiles without having to constantly adjust her. That was definitely thoughtful of them and I don't think I can remember another base that lets you rotate the figure?

Bottom line, the base is stable and looks good. The rotating feature is just icing on the cake. Expectations were actually exceeded this time around.

Enjoyment: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡
So here we arrive at the end? Was she faithful to Raita's style? I'd say so. They had to make changes but for the most part I think for the better. I do wish they could have implemented more features such as her sweaty skin and a more pronounced blush but I'm happy with her. She is loaded with details and so many curves I could be lost in them forever. Enjoyment of a figure is subjective so for the purposes of this review it's whether I think she was worth the cost of acquiring her. Now she cost me basically 18,000 Yen when all was said and done. Do I think she was worth it? Yes, I do. I do not regret getting her and if I had to do it again knowing what I know about her I'd get her without a second thought. I am a happy owner and can't wait for native's or Kawanishi Ken's next girl. My expectations were met and exceeded.

See you later.

I love everything about this figure except the awkward shape of her breasts. They're just too damn big and I can't find her hot because of it. I certainly can't deny the quality though.

Oh Man... by looking at the pictures of your review I really regret not havin'her in my collection, she's truly oustanding with so many details that hurts more and more.
Face, body, legs, breast, rear, everything looks so well made... an amazing job by Native.

"Looks pretty good, right? Well she looks even better in person"... well, I'm one of those who knows what it feels the difference between pics and the figure on hands but anyway, I'm glad that you got this cutie for your collection.

Nice review as always, thanks for sharing~
