[SOLVED] Konata nendoroid ver. compare and problems

frostocelotfrostocelotIl y a 4 ansAsk MFC
SOLVED: the clear plastic peg on the BODY (with the notch) was supposed to be glued to the notched bottom panties part. The upper body was supposed to be a hole. When I first pulled apart the figure, the peg glue probably dried out and came off of the bottom and got stuck in the top part pretty tightly. The notched peg fit into the notched bottom as a permanently glued in part, allowing it to still rotate at the waist when it was fit into the body. Everything is perfectly fine now ^__^.

This blog is sort of a review and a plea for help. I have recently acquired two versions of the Izumi Konata nendoroid (´∀`)♡. I got the homepage version (#027b) and the Shinbun Anniversary version (#027d). Edit* These were purchased from Ami Ami and Terraformer-Rakuten. I didn't think the Konata versions would be made any differently except for the accessories, faceplates and hands, but when I put the two side by side it was noticeable. Edit* I just learned that the 27d version was created 2 years after the original versions, so it uses updated nendoroid materials.

Here's a shot of the two full nendoroids. Aren't they precious.

Right away I could tell the hair was painted differently. HP vers. Konata's hair is a bit more muted/desaturated in color and has more obvious highlights. Shinbun Konata's hair is more glossy and blue.

HP version faceplates all use a pink tinted skin tone base (I compared all of them) while Shinbun version faceplates all use a yellowish skin tone base.

Tops of the bodies are painted differently using different base colors as well.

As you can see, the Shinbun version has a different peg that includes two notches on the side. You'll see what this does in the next picture.

Shinbun version's peg that connects it to the bottom is notched, making it impossible to turn the bottom =( I assume this was done to stabilize it better. Can someone confirm that their #027d version of the peg is the same?

Each Konata comes with a separate skirt that's made for sitting. Notice anything completely different? This is why I made this post. I have NO IDEA how to make the top fit into the bottom if both have pegs ヽ(≧Д≦)ノ

Here's another shot summarizing my frustration.

Please, if anyone has either the 027b or 027d versions of the Konata nendoroid, can you tell me if my parts are correct? How did you manage to get the sitting-skirt onto the body? Thanks everyone.

All these other blogs have photos with that pesky skirt peg too, but no one has mentioned any problems with it... am I missing something totally obvious? Link , Link

Wow that link was really helpful, thank you! The blister pack photo is exactly like mine, where you can see a plastic peg sticking out of the skirt. But the disassembled parts photo shows the peg was taken out(??) o__o. I guess I will try to wiggle this more. Maybe it got stuck over time?

I should have mentioned that I purchased these from AmiAmi and Terraformer-Rakuten so they are surely authentic. And I think my description of the hair difference might be a little exaggerated. I've been studying other users' photos (out of paranoia) and it seems to be the same as mine, where 27d has less highlight and a little more shine than 27b.

I'm not familiar with the Konata Nendo but the hair color in your picture doesn't seem to match the one in the link. Also there appears to be no peg in the skirt?
Did you buy the Nendo's from the same seller...? Any possibility of a bootleg?

Thanks for your response. I have tried to remove the clear pegs from both the body and the skirt parts with force, but they won't move at all =( They seem to be solid parts fused to the pieces.

jiejie (Il y a 4 ans) #1524268I don't own the nendoroid in question, but - have you checked if the peg of the sitting skirt can be removed? Sometimes they put these placeholder pegs into the holes of extra parts. I assume it's to make sure the hole doesn't shrink or something.
