Rajke (Il y a 1 mois) #61471390Great review. Althought i like the original outfit of the BMG better this figure still looks good. She looks very nice. The shading of her staff looks up close a bit of but when you look at this figure from some distance it makes sence what Furyu tried to do. The shading on her outfit is very nice. :D

Thanks for liking the review! I was also impressed by the shading, although it's like you say, a bit weird up-close at some parts. Still it's a pretty impressive design to tackle for a prize figure!

CaptainZ (Il y a 1 mois) #61359622I always wanted a DMG but since it's not a huge priority I never picked up the scales. May have to pick this one up.

This figure sounds like the right match for you as long as you also like her movie outfit! :)

victorviper (Il y a 1 mois) #61351637An interesting figure, and I sometimes forget that this character was 100% fanservice, so maybe it's not surprising that aspect of the character gets played up even more when she's depicted in figure form.
Her MFC page makes it look like she is quite tiny (170 mm including hat?), and she doesn't look a whole lot larger than that Cu-Poche figure. Is that the case or are my eyes and the big hat messing with me?

Yeah, the first and 'original' BMG figure is all about that: ITEM #42095 . It actually took a while for her to grow on me, but now I like her most of all my BMG figures. :)

Ah, I should have taken some pictures of her with the scaled figure. I'll try to do that another time. She is indeed smaller than the scaled offerings, but not as tiny that she would stand out as a tiny figure. For reference, the Cu-Poche of this figure is about 14,5 CM including the top of the hat according to the database (can't measure myself right now):

That makes this figure at least 20CM for sure! It might indeed be the huge hat playing a bit of tricks in that picture. She seems average prize figure size, maybe a liiiittle bit smaller.

indian_summer22 (Il y a 1 mois) #61352118Naaah, the 2nd Kotobukiya scale is actually my fave (never noticed many differences to begin with when it comes to the outfit). Its the pose (very awkward) and...dunno the face is not to my liking.
My bf owns her and really likes her though. Tastes differ^

I'm currently working on a review of the 2nd Koto scale. :) Although the 1st is my personal fave!

I think the overall design is quite extensive for a prize. It's just that I know there are the better scaled alternatives, so I wouldn't recommend this one unless you are really on a budget or want an easy to get BMG.

Maakie (Il y a 1 mois) #61348508Hrmm, he is? I'll double check it when I get home tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know. :)
I think it might also be something to do with her movie outfit (at least for me) being less charming than the original one? Thanks for liking the review!

indian_summer22 (Il y a 1 mois) #61316509I think your Black Magician is positioned wrong in that pic xD
His foot needs to go into a slot on that thing he is sitting on.
Good review. I personally dont like this BMG at all. She looks much too cheap. And I usually like prize figs.
