Thanks :) Yeah D.va was baaaaddd! I noticed the pixilation from a mile away lol! Yeah, I think I may hold off on pre-ordering figmas from now on, and weight the options, maybe there's an alternative!
Yea, I PO'd D.Va, and got it for around 50 USD, but she went down on Amazon to around 25 USD now lol (probably because of the issues). So yea, better to hold off on the PO and pick them up after release. I have noticed that almost all Figmas end up having some deal after release.

McCree looks good, and you have some nice pics and review :)
I've found their Overwatch line to be hit and miss. Apart from the unseemly joint issues, I think they suffer from some bad face plates which is apparent on the characters with lighter skin colours. They seemed to have used the same printing tech that S.H. Figuarts seems to use, and you can see the pigments. This is especially apparent in the D.Va figure. TheMcCree you have seems to not show it (and it is similar for the Widowmaker I own) because of the more darker skin tone.
In general, I think Figma has a pricing problem, as many collectors here will tell you as well. The pricing has sky rocketed while the amount of accessories you get have dwindled. There are some inexplicable design choices for the figure engineering.
Of course, the issue then is alternatives. For anime figure collectors, Figma tends to be the one that owns the license for most IP's. With Overwatch, you have Hasbro in the West, and their Overwatch line is around 20 USD per figure. Question then is whether the Figma is 4x the quality to justify the 4x price. I think for many folks, they will probably be ok with the Hasbro at 20 USD.

IMHO, frankly speaking, for what I've seen for years, Figma has gone up in price to the point that they've reached the level of 'ridiculous' - simply put, they have a pricing problem. If I'm not mistaken, Figma has started this trend since 2015...I guess? Where they started decreasing the amount of accessories, keeping the similar level of engineering whereas the price has went up.
For example, take a look at this Door-kun figma
ITEM #331531
and his 'girlfriend', Aigis' figma
ITEM #117961
. There are some inexplicable things about that Door-kun figma being much more expensive with such amount of accessories, while Aigis, being about 2000s Yen cheaper, has a hella large amount of accessories, let alone the size. Moreover, they're from the same franchise.
Another example is this Yoshika
ITEM #38181
and this newer Yoshika
ITEM #236192
. With only slightly improved sculpts and solving the paint transfer issue on older Yoshika, the newer Yoshika's price tag went up sharply. Worse thing is they don't even include the 'breast-gropping' hand parts Yoshika has been famously known for on the newer Yoshika, and released it as GSC online shop bonus instead, which is a shame (at least for me).
Well, personally, I think that there are actually some inexplicable things about the ridiculous newer figma's price tag and IMHO, above-5500s yen price tag only suit figma with A LOT of accessories and more elaborate design,
ITEM #198416
for example, even though I still think it's quite expensive, but at least, compared to the McCree, Nagato worth the money more. I don't know much about economic tbh but somehow I think inflation or the price for the IP's license only take small part on this matter so it doesn't really account...I guess. Lastly, if there's a cheaper variant from, let we say, another manufacturer whose quality I personally think worth the price, then I'll go for it
That's a very great take on this! I think the thing that makes me the most hesitant when buying figmas; is that GSC contracts other manufactures (FREEing, Orange Rouge, Max Factory, ect...) each manufacture has its own styles and methods, which means you never know what your going to get one figma from the next, even when Max Factory produces a whole series, sometimes they change up the characters construction. I could collect everyone from the entire Persona 3 Series and every characters quality could wildly vary! (That Aigis is pretty dope tho!) S.H Figuarts have been upping their game as of recent, but like you said... SH Doesn't have the Licenses that GSC has

I used to love figmas, but have been turned off by the pricing as of late. However ughghggh McCree looks so good!
Me too, This was the last figma I ordered when it first went up, haven't got one since, it was his shiny colors that triggered my ADD lol, I couldn't help myself! ヾ(≧▽≦*)o
