Commentaires Cancelling Amiami orders

  • rowbuttsYou can cancel, but watch the frequency. I've cancelled twice as of now (and may have to cancel one of my scale figures for September) but they were partial cancellations, not whole orders. I was told Amiami was warmer to partials.

Depending on your track record with their store depends if they'll be cool with it. If you've been buying for a while, pay right away, and have orders relatively often it should be okay. What I do is make sure I've paid for 2-3 decent sized orders and then request a cancellation if necessary. However my cancellations were a nendoroid and a figma on two separate occasions, whereas my normal orders I've paid for are around 6000-10,000 yen.

They tell you "Normally we don't allow cancellations but lol okay just try not to do it again" basically.

That's my approach to canceling with them as well. I've been buying from them for so long, and I occasionally cancel a few times but its more of just an item and they do send me that same e-mail "We don't normally do this..." I'm wanting to cancel something for my June order but I;m waiting to pay for my May order first so it doesn't look bad haha. But either way, I buy from them monthly and my orders are always 10,000 yen+. I pay quick except for one time when I had a question to split the order for cheaper shipping, but then they went on golden week...so it went overdue for like a day, and they tell me I should e-mail them earlier (which I SO did) but it went fine. I think its fine if you have a good buying history :D~

wingman13I don't think that's a good idea. From their FAQ:

    Q. I don't want my order anymore but someone else does. Can I give them my order?

    A. Orders may not be transferred. Any attempts to do so may result in all orders being canceled and/or permanent account closure of all involved accounts.

I usually only order stuff I know I want so I haven't had the need to cancel and can't provide any personal experience but from what others have said it doesn't seem like you need to worry too much as long as you don't cancel too frequently. I definitely wouldn't let the order go canceled unpaid.

I'm not sure how long those rules were there but people transfer orders all the time to avoid canceling with AmiAmi. I don't no if AmiAmi means, "no transfers" as in they won't transfer the order for you or if they mean no transfers period. The way users transfer around here is kind of a loophole system (something with cahnging the lsited address) that doesn't need the intervention of AmiAmi. Anyway I thought that's better seeing as AmiAMi still makes the sale, they don't really have to do anything and the users don't have to cancel but eh whatever.

One of my first orders I placed with amiami I never paid for. They sent me three notices letting me know that my pre-order had come in but I never sent the money. They never had my credit card on file so I assume it was canceled. A year later I placed another order at amiami and there was no hassle. I think depending on how big the order is you maybe able to get away with it without trouble.

    Not a helpful post but

    *Trailer voice start*

"In a world where canceling figures will result in eternal exile...
A world where doing so, will leave you a wanted fugitive.
One girl... Must stand up... to prove what she believes in, is right.

falugalob: Do you know what they'll do to you if you cancel?!
Girl: Do you know what will happen if I don't?

This Summer, prepare to have your collection knocked off their bases-

    *Footage of explosions*

A motion picture too big for your display case-

    falugalob: We're trapped!
Girl: That figures. lol get it? Figures.

You cancel your order... They cancel your life.

    -AMIAMI: THE MOVIE-"

    fund it.

I've cancelled one item from my July order - which is at JPY48,000 before shipping (Oops :P) right now and they still gave me the "We don't usually allow you to cancel pre-orders but we'll do it this time, just try not to make a habit of it" email. I didn't give any reason for it either - it was actually because I decided I didn't want to add anouth 6,000Y item to an order that's already massive but I just tried cancelling it to see if they would.
I definitely wouldn't try to do it regularly, but if you've got a good history with them, I doubt they'd ban you right away.

I find that just trying things doesn't hurt - I tested to see if I could extend a payment date as well (for reference, they don't ever allow it) and when I was refused, I paid for it that night haha xD

KamimamidaMight depend on how many you've ordered for what month and if the figures are all combined in one order, but you should perhaps try to transfer them to other users before flat out canceling and risking pissing them off.

I've never canceled from amiami either but i have been toying with the thought but i also would be lost if they banned me. Sometimes when something you really want just pops up you can't not preorder it XD However i'm worried if i cancel some of my things they won't let me get the really hard to get ones i want later in the year =w= so i won't cancel i'm just going to pay and use it as a lesson to think more before i buy. Thanks for asking this though it was good to learn from the comments :D

I've cancelled about 3 items one time and it went off ok. Just be honest in your support email and give the order numbers so it's easy for them to find your orders. If you don't pay there is a greater chance you will be blacklisted. Just be honest and get quick and to the point.

    NickienatorNot how I meant it.

Don't worry I know how you meant it. I'm just commenting on how your own experience with canceling, which seems to have been very good, almost makes it tempting to cancel.:)

Though obviously we all know we can't assume it'll be the same case for everyone.
