    1) are you a "character shrine" collector? aka, do you extensively collect anything of your favorite character, or do you only get figures you truly like?

No. I try to limit myself to one of a character that I get (though I may or may not break that trend).

    2) do you collect figures of characters from things you've never watched/read/played?

Yes and no. Most of what I have is from something that I've watched, but a few like Saekano and F/GO are kind of exceptions. What I mean is that I'm aware of it, but I either haven't watched it or played it for varying reasons. The only ones I'm not really aware of would be the Tony Taka figures I have as, in one case, it's not out in the US for me to do any extensive research on, and the other two are just original characters.

    3) do you prefer non-movable or movable figures?

Mostly non-movable. I only have one figma (two if you count a pre-order) as it's the only way I can get that character (and if it's the case for other releases of characters I love, then so be it).

    4) do variants seem like a waste of money or a new way of displaying a previously loved figure if you own the original already? (haha this one might be controversial ;w;)

I don't get variants myself, but I'm also not against it for other people who wish to do so (real answer: I don't quite get the question as my migraine is making it hard to think ;_;).

    5) do you try to keep a tiny collection or do you like having a huge collection? and for the people that do have huge collections, do you like downsizing it?

Compared to others, it's paltry, though I wouldn't mind a large collection if I had the room for it. If I did have the room), I'd collect a bit more.

    1. no, I collect figures I like and tend to avoid multiple figures of 1 character, unless that figure is vastly improved from the previous one in my collection
    2. yes I as long as it is a figure that really looks good that captures my interest
    3. I prefer movable figures, but I also collect scale figures
    4. hmm agrees that variation should be significant to merit purchase
    5. want to have a large collection but due to limited room and budget i am well torn

    1. I wish to have a shrine for Hachikuji Mayoi someday, I'm eyeing up a surprisingly nice prize figure of her as right now I only possess one Figma. Regardless though I collect figures of many characters, I'd at most have a shelf dedicated to her.

2.Everything I have figures of I've played or watched. If I had more disposable income then there are quite a few figures from franchises I may not be a fan of or simply haven't experienced yet that I'd consider buying.

    3. I used to collect mostly posable figures but the size and awe of scale figures have won me over. Now and then there's a posable figure I'll get but I do much prefer non-posable figures.

    4. Variants that can give a whole new flare to a figure I can admire but I'd need more money than I have to justify purchasing any.

    5. My collection by comparison to many people's here is tiny but given they're all crammed into an average size bedroom it's also not exactly a "small" collection. As long as I have the space to display them I'll keep collecting. I do think some will be sold eventually, however not for downsizing but more so that my collection accurately reflects my current interests.

    1) I'd say so! Nagito from Danganronpa is one character who I'll buy pretty much any type of merch of, with only a few exceptions (some of the DR3 merch was kinda ugly...).

    2) I used to when I was younger, but now I only buy figures of characters I really like, mainly just so I don't spend too much :P

    3) Either one is ok with me. I like the variance that posable figure types like Figmas and Nendoroids give, but fixed pose figures or ones that only have small interchangeable parts are great too.

    4) Color variants are nice, but I have to really REALLY like the character to get a variant that only has minor changes. (For example, I wouldn't have bothered to get ITEM #236009 if Nagito wasn't #1 husbando status)

    5) When it comes to figures, I think I've done an alright job of keeping it relatively small. (Badges/keychains/straps/etc, however... I go way too crazy with those so I'm very eager to downsize lol)

    1) Unfortunately yes and I say 'unfortunately' because I love Asuka but a lot of the older figures are scary but I snag them just because I love her and the series ;v;, but other characters I'm more picky about. Sonico is one of them, I like the figures where she is smiling but there are some where she looks scared and it weirds me out a lot haha

2)I used too but now I don't and am currently trying sell them off to make room for the things I do really really like and want :)

    3) I like nendos and such but figmas and most poseable figures are a huge chunky turn off for me. They are frustrating and often don't fit in their stands well but Nendos are cute and work pretty well honestly

    4) I own some variants but often I don't like them as much as the original, some recolors are nice and add a fun way to look at the fig or when they remake them to be a newer quality then yea but often I feel like its an unneeded expense

    5) Bigger is better as I always say. One of the things I struggle with is justifying my figures though and sometimes really late at night it will eat me away that I feel like I have spent so much money on so much unneeded stuff and that normal people might not do this and I must be crazy but then I try to sleep it off or just look at other peoples stuff to help myself feel better //sob// ;v;"

    1) I only get figures I really like!! I tend to rarely get two figures of the same chara unless the chances of them getting more figures are slim OR I super duper love the designs!! I'm more content having multiple figures of all my fav charas/series compared to multiple figs of one (plus I have way too many favs it wouldn't work out)

    2) Only once with my momohime figure!!! I was a bit apprehensive about doing it but as soon as I got her... so worth it... she's so cute and dynamic and actually one of my fav figs (still haven't played oboro tho LMFAO)

    3) Non-movable!! I just find figmas look... really chunky and ugly... while some I can appreciate when I see their owners taking dynamic pics, personally I'd never buy one. I get all that posability from my BJDs!!

    4) the only 'variants' I've come into contact with in regards to my own figs are the collectors edition v simply edition... I go collectors everytime! If I'm gonna be dropping money I might as well drop more and get something amazing, yknow? Also, if they re-release a figure with an improved paint job or whatever I'd definitely be tempted!

    5) Hmmm a lot of my friends say my collection is big but compared to some people on here it's pretty medium sized!! At the moment I don't feel any need to downsize but sometimes I just find I've fallen out of love with some of them and then it's time to let them go...

1 I only get figures that I like but when I buy one I do have the feeling that I HAVE to complete the set he or she belongs to.

2 usually I only buy figures from shows I've seen. But when I really like the look of a character I will watch the first episode and decide afterwards. If it's a character of an anime on my to watch list I'll most likely go for it.

3 I 100% prefer non movable figures. I hate seeing joints on figures.

4 hmm variants.. well it depends if it's a simple recolor or bikini/lingerie version I'll leave it, but when it is the character in a completely different outfit I'll buy it if the price is not too high. For example the new luffy ver 20th is actually just a variant of the luffy sailing again ver 2 with a new smile and a piece of meat accessory, well such small changes don't work for me

5 I love to see my collection grow. Hope to one day have a sort off man cave (maybe otaku hideout works better) where I can show off my figures and store my manga and comics.

    1) are you a "character shrine" collector? aka, do you extensively collect anything of your favorite character, or do you only get figures you truly like?

Only figures I truly like but I have no issue buying variations of one character.

    2) do you collect figures of characters from things you've never watched/read/played?

Never, but seeing figures or characters I think I'd like I put it on my list of things to check out. I saw ITEM #396235 before seeing the show. I wanted him so bad but I sat down and watched the whole season first before I bought him. I've gotta like the character.

    3) do you prefer non-movable or movable figures?

Non-movable. I don't take fancy photos or enjoy moving them too much. It makes me anxious to see a collectible of mine moved from a spot or position where I like it.

    4) do variants seem like a waste of money or a new way of displaying a previously loved figure if you own the original already? (haha this one might be controversial ;w;)

No way! I'll buy 'em if I really like the character or that special version.

    5) do you try to keep a tiny collection or do you like having a huge collection? and for the people that do have huge collections, do you like downsizing it?

I feel like I'm at a solid *starting* size, not tiny and nowhere near too large to be worried about downsizing. I'm looking into getting more shelves and maybe a 4th detolf but I think I'm planning too far ahead. I get excited, hahah.

This was fun to do, thanks!

    1) When it comes to my favorite anime, I'm 1000% a shrine collector. (Maybe I'll even take a picture when I reorganize it.) When it comes to everything else, I try to not let myself get caught up in the ~feels~ of the moment, but I do like to have a couple small things to commemorate my feelings for that series/character.

    2) Absolutely not. I don't feel a need to buy something that I have no emotional connection to.

    3) Non-moveable. They look better imo, and there's less to worry about.

    4) Variants seem wasteful to me, unless it's like a re-release of something that was previously impossible to find. Then I'm all over that.

    5) I'm kind of picky and there's not a lot of room for my collection, so I try to keep it smaller. Having said that, I've only sold one figure and I just sloooowly keep adding on.
