Authoritah (Il y a 2 jours) #57079153There's an update on Lily Wine I just found on Weibo with what seems like a new, different prototype and this one is exactly how the 2 of us said she should look like. It now seems like she's completely inside the wine glass and her face is buried in that flower just like you said you wanted her to look like. She's also barefoot now for some reason, not that I'm conplaining though. Take a look:

Very, very nice! Thanks for sharing.

Free_Phi (Il y a 1 mois) #54401320I think Myethos is absolutely on fire, first of all. They're probably the single most interesting PVC figure mfr at present (since Embrace Japan is sort of dormant). This one looks great, and I'm really hoping the wine glass is more-or-less human scale, so she can be a surprising little decoration in the glassware cabinet!
I do kind of wish she had her nose coyly buried in the flower, like in the illustration, which looks adorable, but it's a great sculpt, regardless.

Tofukins (Il y a 2 jours) #57069901I also think from their weibo post that they plan to reveal Little Mermaid in the Shanghai Wonfes in June which I personally cannot wait to see.
That's exciting, just less than 2 months to the unveiling! The drawn image seems to be very beautiful - am excited to see how she will turn out (and parts of the water too).

This delay is not so bad, they're probably really busy with other projects too. I also think from their weibo post that they plan to reveal Little Mermaid in the Shanghai Wonfes in June which I personally cannot wait to see.

I preordered White Rabbit in January this year so I guess my waiting time hasn't been as long as those who preordered her back in 2018, hence the lack of frustration on my side at current time. I remain excited for her release next month, and hope she will turn out fantastic (in fact, my expectations for a better figure is heightened with the delay).

I'd say Myethos is one of the more reasonable manufacturers when it comes to delays ... It's totally understandable and justifiable to delay when there is a huge QC issue or error they need to correct.

Other companies are just throwing out an "estimate" release date with no intention of actually releasing on time. I think companies have followed suit after GSC got so behind on releases and started delaying everything. Now they just set the release date out for a year or more after preorders open, lol.

Delays are the (new?) normal now. I just say oh well and go along with it!

MastraCustom (Il y a 3 jours) #56972280I completely agree to you and... in addition to this: how many times a product has to be delayed because receiving a true release date??
Come on guys, I collect figures since 2007 and a delay doesn't mean "better quality", but only "we announce more products than we can work on" (and Good Smile is a leader in promises not respected).
White rabbit release date was originally scheduled for 2018 (october), now its delay counts 7 months.
It's not a professional behavior, for collectors and for retailers.
    Nothing to add.
    Are you sure about it?
It's not ridiculous or pathetic if the delay counts 1 or 2 months...
But now we're talking about 1 month more in addition to the 6 before... come on.

If you've been following their announcements since October you'd know they stated they weren't happy with how the final product turned out so they scrapped the inventory they had back then and said they would remake her. Now it's possible that they're lying but I see no point in doing that. Also GSC has nothing to do with the manufacturing of White Rabbit so don't blame them nor their promises for this. They're the distributor. Myethos is the manufacturer.

And you being a collector since 2007 doesn't mean you know what the cause for every delay that happens is. You just seem displeased that you didn't get the product you got your hopes up for too early. And this also has nothing to do with professional behavior. This is about your feelings. In the end you'll either get the product or your money back (if you paid for her already) and you'll lose nothing.

And lastly, Myethos always delivered an amazing product for the price they charged for their figures and I expect nothing less from White Rabbit judging by the prototype alone. And so far they had 2-3 delays in total counting White Rabbit. I believe that she'll look great and will gladly wait just a tad bit more.

My last experience with GSC making a collaboration with a chinese house was the cancellation of that figure with no more explanations than the final product had not got the quality standards for a GSC figure. They found it out after a delay of a year and a half..., come on!! ¬¬ I felt so betrayed...

My advice, be patient and feel happy if they finally release the figure. Good luck!!! ^^

Yukina1987 (Il y a 3 jours) #56960294I think it's ridiculous and pathetic because they don't do this for a better quality. How many figures has been delayed and finally released with several inaccuracies? A lot!!
This story of a "better quality" is often an illusion.
This is my experience, I have found these problems in many figures and after I saw that all the figures I order slip of so many months I start to get nervous.
