Sekhmet (Il y a 3 jours) #30898376Do game collector editions need a JAN code? I'm wondering if they do because I'm thinking not all have them? I could be wrong though. There's a game CE that I want to add so I can add it as ordered to my collection but the official website where it's exclusive to lists no JAN code. It's been up for almost two weeks and there still hasn't been one listed.

Yes, all game editions need JAN codes (catalogue-IDs have been accepted sometimes as well). If the collector's edition is exclusive to a store then you either have to wait for it to arrive to you to check the JAN or check the store page if there's a catalogue-ID of some sorts. If it's on sale on multiple stores then there's usually a store or two that puts that information up when it becomes available. Hope that information helped you out.

Kaneel (Il y a 12 jours) #30878487Yeah i see the other two dakis, which will be gone in a minute.
As for doujinshis, i'll leave my hands off of these, they are not my comfort zone and from the guidelines it's about japanese releases, not neccesary japanese origin so i have to recheck if there was som change or it's just a mingled mess with the japanese online sale and such which get's mixed in.

This goes with the alert I made for Overwatch doujinshis alert.php?mode=..., I don't look into doujinshi neither but medias still state that books must be for Japanese-pop-culture-related, which implied a Japanese origin for me (doujinshi or not).

Out of the two dakis, one of them was me yesterday :P I added one, and then thought, better double-check before going the whole hog and adding a bunch. Thanks for the clarification.

Kaneel (Il y a 12 jours) #30866833Goods have to be from a japanese origin, only figures are allowed with non-japanese origin but japanese manufacturer.
Hmmm ... there was at least one other daki cover and a bunch of doujins that had stayed for some time, so I thought there might have been some re-eval of Azur Lane due to the Japanese release aspect. All the goods/media would need to go then, presumably? (good thing I didn't add in a whole bunch of covers :P)

It looks like Azur Lane entries are now allowed in the DB? I'd added several covers from Azur Lane after the Japanese servers opened up (entries added on or about 23/24-Oct-2017), and my entries were deleted with the following comment:

Item #636620 [Azur Lane - Hamman - Dakimakura Cover - Doujin Goods - R18 (Ame no Hi Alice)] was removed!

Reason: Rule violation(s)

Reason: Azur Lane is a chinese developed mobile game with a japanese release, so the Origin is chinese.

"Ship girl-collecting smartphone game Azur Lane by Chinese developers Manjuu and Yongshi"

Can the mods/adms clarify the position on this?

If it is possible to resurrect entries, can #636620, #636621, #636622, #636623 be brought back?

SengokuGensui (Il y a 23 jours) #30430638Hi~
I don't know if it's the right place to mention that, but I like to suggest to the site owner/admins the following: limit database editing to users with a pre-determined seniority in the site (e.g. users who are registered for at least 5 months).
The reason is that 99% of the times I see items being added to the DB poorly (duplicate items, title for figures which is a copy paste of the AmiAmi title etc.), they were added by a user who just joined.
Therefore, such a rule can greatly reduce alerts and deletion of entries = less work for the mods.
Cheers,
SG.

There's a suggestion thread in the overall MFC club, you might want to write this there as well: club/51/discuss...
