Hiei is a fire demon, who meets up with Yusuke after the theft of the sacred artifacts. Hiei and Kurama both join Yusuke after the incident, but their reasons are different. Kurama assists Yusuke out of gratitude, however Hiei does it simply because of his interest in Yusuke's growing power, and his overall influence on the Spirit World and Demon World.
