The pvc version has already been announced, but I decided to go for this GK version, and got her straight from this summer WonFes!

harrykim (Il y a 3 ans) #2695571So you really liked that Kuronkeo pvc that Orca Toys came out with!? Darn. Now I'm thinking about her again, she's still available and was wondering if I should get her!! Actually I just remembered, it's the happy face version that I can get. Actually I do like the happy face better.
Yep, she's a wonderful figure in terms of quality, charm and everything ^_^
I was lucky enough to get her from HS's bargain bin for less than 5k, but nonetheless I would definitely pay her full price if I knew Orca did such a good job with her! As for variants, for me her sad face looks more appealing, but I also wish she had a touch of violet color on her swimsuit, as 2nd version does.

creo_cat (Il y a 3 ans) #2694961Well, I'm only beginning to build up my GK skills and it's a lot of fun, I must admit. It took me 2 years of collecting and over 20 purchased gk's to actually start. So it's never late to change your mind ;)
But I also hope that Orca Toys will bring this Kuroneko design to make the PVC out of it. I agree that they done a wonderful job with ITEM #167292 (which I own btw) ^_^

Yeah I do like drawing and stuff but I'm not sure how good I'd be with fine painting and airbrushes and stuff. But I think it would be certainly fun to try!

harrykim (Il y a 3 ans) #2694031AH ic! I have not the skill for such a task. I just will wait till a PVC painted comes out. Which it will, because another Essence GK of Kurenko was made into PVC. Only a matter of time.

creo_cat (Il y a 3 ans) #2691782Well, I'm sorry for misguiding you, but what I meant is that I would pick up this Kuroneko at WonFes in unpainted and unassembled state to paint her myself. It turns out that sometimes I can't clearly judge the kit's appeal to me while it's still in the prototype stage...
I've heard only one story about person being able to get pre-painted kit straight from the sculptor (and, as far as I remember, I read that here on MFC). It's definitely an interesting topic, and I wonder if anyone else here have successful experience in buying pre-painted prototypes of kits straight from the sculptors.
The prices you've seen at WonFes sure go for unpainted and unassembled kits. And the average price for usual 1/7-1/8 scale kit is in the range of $80-$100 (the mentioned $30-$40 usually goes only for small "deformed" figures and stuff alike).

harrykim (Il y a 3 ans) #2690665Huh, so they actually sell those pre-painted GKs at WonFes that they display? I thought those prices were for buying the kits unpainted. I was at WonFes last summer and saw lots of ones on display with prices. I've been wondering, but a lot were super cheap like $40 and stuff and I figured that that was too cheap to have someone paint them.

creo_cat (Il y a 3 ans) #2676607Wow! Never expected her to turn out so charming when painted, would have picked her up on WonFes otherwise...
Uchijima Yasuhiro definitely knows how to capture Kuroneko's beauty ^_^ Well, another kit for me to hunt, I guess...
