Yeah, it was odd...mine was very clearly fused into the crown itself. I tried pulling, tried turning gently...eventually the star snapped off, the only thing that moved.

The bad news: she didn't come with the attachment for the top of her crown, and despite what the assembly instructions included in the original box say, the star attachment on the crown of the original body was NOT a removable peg. Now I have a non-broken body with a crown that has a hole at the top for the star to be inserted (but no such attachment) and a body with a broken arm and a crown with the star snapped off.
Attempting round 2 of correspondence with GSC.

My replacement part finally arrived. It's the main body without the staff and star for the crown, it arrived in the blister for the non-deluxe version and had a ton of wrapping around the arm. I'm very happy now. :)

I finally received her today (thanks to Nippon-Sh*t for the delay...). Gooooosh she's gorgeous and her box is so BIG !! She isn't broken, yay!

They left me with a very expensive damaged figure to cope on my own.
You really have to contact the producer and have luck that they exchange the parts.

The only time I had to contact N-Y for a defect after a week they told me they would contact the producer and update me. I've never heard back.
