LivingDaylight (Il y a 1 an) #16790303It simple actually: don't like - don't buy.
Figure prices had risen two years ago, but you only noticed it today? lol
I'm gonna put him on stand by because there will be a lot of items I wanted more released in first half of 2017, but definitely gonna have him later.
I like how he turned out, glad they made arms removable and serious face is good.

Actually, this sort of perspective is unfair, especially to collectors in places like Europe or South America or heaven forbid somewhere else with terrible shipping fees and custom taxes. I'm new to the collecting scene, but it's not as if I don't see the dramatic increase of scales and Nendos from 2008 to now, especially since I've been collecting older figures. In the past, even people with moderate incomes were able to enjoy collecting, and everyone has their own needs. If the price of a figure must increase, the quality and number of accessories should at least match the MSRP to make it justifiable to anyone's wallet. First world problems, but at what point is a figure--especially one you like--too expensive to justify? 8k? 10k? 12k yen?

I'll definitely pick up Kacchan later on, but just because you personally follow the don't like-don't buy policy doesn't mean that everyone else has the same mindset. People are having to quit the hobby left and right because price hikes are spiraling out of control; I don't think that's good for an enthusiast community at all.

This prices for nendos is getting ridiculous. He comes with a couple of extra hands, little exchangeable hair part, a plate and a fire effect. And for that they want nearly 5k. I am glad I only have 3 nendos to go. GSC is starting to get insane.

I'm still hoping on a re-release!
I made the mistake of thinking to order him later, after the release.
Biggest mistake ever made T^T

Emboar500 (Il y a 2 mois) #33830418Is there a chance for a re-release for this spiky blonde guy? The series was very popular until now.

I remember seeing somewhere that Shōnen jump has an agreement with Bandai or something so that’s what seems to be causing licensing issues,so perhaps no rerealease :(

I don’t have a reliable source since it’s just a suggestion someone made, so hopefully there’s still a chance :)

High demand and low supply

My Hero Academia is one of the hottest shows out there so the desire for good figures is incredibly strong, but despite that, we've only had three quality figures; two nendos and a figma. Other than that it's some prize and funko figures, but even there it's incredibly limited. Excluding variants MHA only has 14 figures, which is painfully low compared to a lot of other series out there, some of which don't even reach the same level of popularity. Even the prize figures skyrocket in price, though not to the same degree.

But despite that demand, GS isn't re-releasing and none of the other companies seem to be jumping on the bandwagon. There's been a long standing theory of licensing issues, and it just seems to be more and more likely with each passing wonfes. Considering the amount of characters the series has, those companies could be rolling in even more cash, but nothing. I'd kill for a nendo or a scale of Todoroki, but nada. At least he got two prizes now.

So ultimately, demand is high and supply is especially low because the majority of us who do have him wouldn't give him up else we'd potentially regret it forever, at least I know I would. And to top it off, the lack of figures in general makes it even worse. We're in the third season and we've barely gotten anything, so that doesn't seem to bode well for future figures. But who knows, situations can change. I never thought FMA would get good quality figures but here we are.

Sorry for the lengthy response ^^' hopefully this is the answer you were looking for
