Balmert (Il y a 2 mois) #50864955A lot of these random accessories are not creative and can be found in those accessories pack selling in Japan, i think we got the most important stuff already, making your own healing beam is seriously not difficult. The only thing they could add is more faceplate but that's it.
So are just a lot of these ideas not creative or all of them? Your last sentence implies only faceplates are a possibility...

And I think we have very different expectations on how creative accessories really need to be.

Another possibility could be to keep the prices lower and justify them that way. That's the whole reason we've started discussing this. Bang for buck. Yeah I could buy accessory packs to add stuff that might as well be included at the given price... Notice something?

I'd much rather put my money towards a pre-owned one then or just buy something else entirely. I'm not even saying I need all these accessories, but then the price should reflect the contents. It's certainly not like this is some kind of shop exclusive limited run with a special skin of her. It's literally the "safe play" Classic skin. No harm in that, but the figure lacks any and all possible reasons to ask this price.

"people will buy it anyways" is the only thing the dude suggesting this MSRP had to point out.

Bohea (Il y a 2 mois) #50865113Nothing to do with figures, but Activision has apparently been pushing Blizzard to cut costs and increase revenue in the gaming sphere, maybe that bleeds over into this?
And this Mercy figma is $90 on Blizzard's store...maybe it really is down to Blizz.
Although, for what reason? Selling multiple versions of these figs, each with 1 or 2 new accessories? I mean, the Blizzcon Mercy nendo had golden weapons and a blue damage boost streaming staff attachment; maybe thats proof?
Regardless, its pretty crappy on whomever ok'd this

Yeah, I'm also a gamer, so I most certainly follow the industry news and it's not entirely clear what the constellation of Activision and Blizzard really looks like, but it's easy to look at the public evidence and draw some conclusions. When you hear about stuff like incentivizing Support staff to quit their jobs for a little thank you gesture it's quite grim. If anything, support has always been one of THE things Blizzard got major praise for. I've dealt with them a few times and being able to go a little off-topic and have a good chat amongst people who are just like you (passionate about the game or other nerdy stuff in general) whilst you wait for something or even a minute or two after your case is cleared leaves you with a very positive image of the company which in turn means you feel a lot more willing to part with your money for them.

Blizzard has always priced the figures higher than the Japanese shops. Blizz also includes VAT in their store though which is something I may not have to pay to AmiAmi, but once the package arrives at my customs office... Either way, they end up being slightly more expensive still I think.

Beware though, the 1/4 scale D.Va is cheaper on Blizzard's store than AmiAmi, albeit it's obvious. :P

Yeah I think they are trying to do that. I can't blame them reserving some stuff for other variations and with the Nendos I think the price to contents ratio is fair. figmas... Oh boy if they want to do 2-3 version for all characters there as well with that spaced out release dates in between the classic skin version we'll be seeing the last release in 2090. LuL....

In the end Blizz okayed it. Activision may do the pushing though. Whoever it is we have to blame, I think they reside in Cali.
