JuuzousAnimegirlIl y a 4 jours#81605133Right. I literally just got mine yesterday. I only came here to add him to my “Owned” tab and rate him. That’s when I saw your comment. TOM went on my shit list when I bought five watches from them to gift or sell, and all the batteries were dead. When I asked how to go about returning them, they said they couldn’t refund me. They followed with, “BUT! There’s good news! All you have to do is take them to your local watch shop and get the batteries replaced!” There has never been a moment more than right now that I wish I could use emojis on MFC. The lower end of watch batteries is around $10. So that would be $50 in watch batteries, for some piece of shit watches that I don’t care about in the first place, because they were not for me. I told them I would go through PayPal, and they agreed after that to let me return them. I am actually doing that today. I just have to see what shipping will cost. Luckily, it was from their US warehouse. TOM packages very well, their pricing can sometimes be comparable to AmiAmi and sometimes lower. Also, prior to the watch bullshit, they had good customer service. But PO from them is always delayed and slow. Also, their TOM point system only comes in handy if you buy only from them, really. You can never use them on discounted items (which you should be able to), and if you qualify for free shipping, using TOM points negates that. It’s obviously a business tactic set up so that people will just keep buying more shit from them. Also, to really benefit from it, you have to pay them to be a member. I won’t say that I will never purchase from TOM again, but after the watch situation, it would have to be a figure that I literally can’t find at any other trusted store.
Sorry to hear about the watch ordeal...
Personally I only really preorder from them for limited and/or exclusive figures nowadays, and I'm not really ever DYING to get anything right away. Sometimes they carry merch that other places don't (such as event exclusives) so I'm willing to put up with inconveniences, at least for now.
