À propos de cette photo

Update:
We don't wanted to engage with this picture anyone, we thougt it was just funny the boxes to stack all. Since were just on the clean up. I can understand that you can not keep all boxes in a collection of more than 500 figures. So much space has not any. We don't want someone who discriminate with the picture, finally loves every member here anime figures and that we all have in common :)

Nice picture, but way to discriminate against the collectors who don't want to keep their boxes.

Weeacvnt (Il y a 2 ans) #4580589I'll always keep my boxes. :)

For small appliances I always keep mine too!! Not for figures as I collect cheap stuff ($20-40 range)

Maronn (Il y a 2 ans) #4084077Well actually I am not that sure it was just all a joke. Not because of what they wrote here but what they commented at the exactly same picture on a german fb group I am in as well. There they wrote: "Because true collectors care about their boxes as much as the figures itself. That's how I, my girlfriend and other collectors see it as well.[...]" Of course that could have been ill written as well and not what they meant. But the reason something like that really annoys me is that a lot of especially german collectors really are like that in a serious way. During all my collector years I've heard a lot of "when I hear you're throwing away your boxes that makes my heart bleed" and "you know, I as a real collector keep my boxes. It's so disappointing to hear that you throw them away" etc.
I can't speak for everyone else but for me it's very personal (And I do not get easily offended, but in that case I just do not find it funny at all though I got the joke from the beginning) since I am just fed up with hearing it over and over again, joke or not. EDIT: Especially since they wrote that one phrase very rudely as well. Though they took on a neutral tone after that. But well...within a lot of jokes there is truth hidden as well.

Well, I'm actually one of these that just can't throw them away. I tried. I really did. But it ended up with 3 boxes that already were... well, fucked up and the rest is still there. I don't like the look how they are build up to the ceiling and do nothing than catching dust and I'm always like "Gurl, you can't do this for much longer, it's already on the limit" but then I'm thinking "You going to move out and that maybe for more than one time, so... better keep them!" because where you gonna put all this figures save and sound if you move out if not in their boxes... One wing from a Miku figma of mine did broke and it was the worst thing that could happen, haha. So I keep all the boxes to carry them safe. But I also can understand people that throw them away, my space for boxes is getting smaller and smaller too. But I absolutely wouldn't say such things like "If you throw them away you aren't a real collector" and I also get the point that this can really hurt, even as a joke. But this pciture is for me not more than a joke, everything else would be just really dumb and nothing worth to anger or discuss about. Even if you meet people that think like this - just don't give a damn fuck about it. There's no one that can decide what a real collector is.

songokou (Il y a 2 ans) #4131910If I want to play around with a figure I'll open its box. Otherwise they'll just gather dust since I don't have a dedicated display. profile/songoko... Only Chopper and Son Goku have been opened but they're in their boxes.
I can see what figures look like on here or in Youtube reviews.

Haha I see, oh well different people different taste/opinions I guess @_@

Trafalgar_DLaw (Il y a 2 ans) #4131412I just dont get how seeing boxes is more pleasurable than seeing the figures inside. We pay the premium price for the painting and the detail of the figurines, not the cardboard box

Sorry to lay into ya but as collector we are capable of being a sensitive lot. Your collection may not be as big as a lot of people here but your presentation is a solid 10.

songokou (Il y a 2 ans) #4070618I prefer to keep my figures mint in their boxes after an unfortunate incident where 3 figures were damaged.

Ran-Mori did not posted it on facebook and wrote the Text btw...
Please take care if you say something like that without any proof!
Thx

I really didn't think it would have been necessary to moderate this kind of photo but since it was brought up in an alert...

If I see any more comments suggesting that Ran-Mori is "discriminating" against people who choose to throw away pieces of cardboard and plastic packaging I will not hesitate to close this comment section down. As far as I'm concerned they explained themselves in this description and that's enough.

Honestly (this is not coming from a MOD standpoint) I also suggest some of you reevaluate what you are offended by if throwing away a box is that upsetting to you. People will judge you no matter what you do so let's just keep MFC as light-hearted and as fun to be in as possible. Thanks everyone.

Wow, this needed to be clarified! So many people can't go over the first impression...

Anyway, cool pictures! These boxes are really a nightmare to store: must keep them but!
