    I'm currently going back and forward on Global Rakuten, trying to do the numbers- both figma's come at 10,320 yen, using a 3000 yen off coupon, they instantly come in a LOT cheaper than any merchant in the UK/EU is advertising them for.

    They come out at different times of the year, so they have separate shipping prices, around 1500 yen each.

    So with shipping they're both back at just below their retail sale price of 5,160 yen/ £33.50 (aprox)

    The cheapest UK/EU merchant I found are about £55 (each..) with £2.95 mainland shipping, so yeah, it's obvious who I'm better off going with...

    However that's the total before they leave Japan, once they arrive in the UK, since they go over the £15 VAT amount, I'm going to get hit with about £8-9 in customs fee...and as fellow Brits will know, EMS worldwide goes to the dreaded Parcelforce...so add on another £13 handling fee. (£8 if I'm SUPER lucky and Royal Mail get it...)

    That takes my initial 'score' of £33.50 up to £55.50 (ish...£49.50 if RM get it, but unlikely) so in that sense, I'm only saving about £3 .__. the main, currently winning, difference is I can pay the one from Rakuten in "parts" so I'm not instantly a hundred pounds out of pocket...don't currently have £100 to just spend either aha...Figma's are so expensive for being so tiny...charged per millimeter

    But I don't know how customs look at Figma's. They're so tiny, is it likely it may be overlooked, or do I stand no hope of it going un-detected since Japan legally can't undervalue? I realise this is a hard question for non Brits since all countries customs are different, but any Brits out there lend a newbie a hand? ; x ;

    We've got a thread for UK shipping questions here club/533/discus..., however, getting figures is really like a lottery, sometimes you have to cough up for a figure or an item, which is just over the £15 value and another time, the £100+ figure is not getting charged at all... Overall, I found the best option to be SAL, not registered, which is being delivered with RM. Waiting times are between 2 to 4 weeks. EMS is almost every time a surfire way having to pay £13.50 + charge to ParcelForce.
